What attracts me this time is definitely more than just Aishwarya Rai. Even though I am a fans of this beautiful Hindustani, I don't solely go for her this time. I am touched by this true story actually. True story is always eye catching as we tends to admire the courage and the brilliantness of the characters more as we know this is not just acting, it's true.
Frankly, don't expect much from the movie. I think it is not properly directed even though it has given a great story to play. It's kind of boring. Not much of challenging scene. And, I supposed lots of touching scenes can be done in this movie. Somehow, it never make me cry. Not like the Hindi movies that always make me cry like there is no tomorrow. *sop* *sop*
However, as a lady, we should all know about this story. It's about a Punjab lady that would've continued her studies in law, somehow arranged married to a wrong man whom she do not know him at all. She was tortured by this violent man for 10 years in this silly marriage. Then one day, she decided to burn him alive. Wow! Shocking right? What do you think now? Are you dying to know did the man killed? Yes! he was finally killed. And, this pitiful Punjab lady has to go into jail.
Now, the question is... Does she deserves sentenced to life in prison? And, what would she feels about the conviction if she still have 2 small kids out there that she truly miss. You might keep asking yourself now... is it possible for her to walk out of the jail and be with her children again?
So, ladies. You are encourage to watch it. See how ridiculous can an arrange marriage can be. See how helpless a lady can be sometimes. And, we might just going to have another chance if we never give up. Finally, this is not a Hindi movie but an English movie, k?
Wish all of you having joyful life! :)

sad movie? er, maybe will skip :-)
In short: I've been to Punjab (India). Invited to an arranged Marriage. They are not married to day. After one year of "prison", so to speak, the bride and her mother said enough is enough - I do not know if she fullfilled her Master...
Sounds like an interesting movie.

A warm warm welcome to Everyday Healy, Toora. I really think arrange marriage is a bit silly. However, Indians still do that till now. Really have to be very very careful in selecting the match. At least have to 100% make sure the other party is a very nice person.
Look at this tragedy happened in London. Sad...
