How are you going to celebrate your New Year? If you are going out for movies... May be you should go for fairy tales like "Enchanted". However, I was in the cinema last Saturday night watching "National Treasure". And, I don't think I am going out tonight. I don't want to get stuck in the middle of the traffic or feel upset about someone nonsense "bang" my car again. I guess, miracles hardly happen twist in almost the same time. hehe...

So, may be you going to ask me how is the show? Er... Can I make my wish list first before the New Year come? hehe...

1) I wish for world peace! (I know I am not in the competition of Miss World or some sort, but I wish I already one of them. LOL! So this wish is appropriate! hahaha...)

2) I wish for good health. Not only me, but for my whole family and you too!

3) I wish for prosperity. (To me, prosperity almost means money, so more money please!)

4) Mostly importantly we are all safe and happy. :)

Advantages of Credit Cards

As I always said we must watch our spending through credit cards carefully. Due to the temptation of overspend, using credit cards might easily lead us to debts. Anyway, it seems impossible for us not to use credit cards at all now. Most of us will go out cashless.

In fact, there is nothing wrong with credit cards. If we can use it wisely, we should be able to grab many benefits from it. For example,

1) We don't have to bring so much cash out. In this case, we can avoid robbery.
2) We can conveniently keep records on our monthly expenses.
3) We can gain cash rebates.
4) We can take advantage of the various discounts that specially offered to credit cards holders.
5) We will save a lot of our time by paying our monthly utilities bills through credit cards.

Anyway, once we are overspend, we could easily go into debts if the interest rates charged are ridiculously high. So, may be we should start using Low Interest Credit Cards first.

Free but Classy

If you are someone who likes wood furnishing, or always have wood furniture at home, then may be you will like this.





This is only pieces of tree trunks of course. But once we polish and shellac them, they will become beautiful stools in the garden. In fact, many teak wood garden sets from Indonesia is designed as a part of the original tree like this too. And, these sets easily cost thousands Ringgit. Thus, it seems I just save thousands. hehe...... I am glad I get these woods from old trees for free.

However, I really got to thank the government workers that cut the trees for helping me to move them over to my house from the roadside. Without them, I don't think we manage to move it around as they are quite haevy. :)

Hopefully I can get them all polished and lacquered as soon as possible. So that I will have a new garden set by CNY. :)

Car accessories

I am driving a small car for the past 7 years. Hubby suggest that I should change my car as I have finished paying my car installments recently. I used to crazy over beetle, but I don't quite like it after I have a look at it's interior. First of all 2 doors 4 seater is a bit inconvenient. In addition, the slanting back ruff will not fit any tall ones.

Thus, I am still looking for the right car for me now. As I saw Chrysler online, I think it's still a manly car. However, I am kind of attracted to the latest Chrysler 300 accessory. There are so many to choose and we can practically change it frequently like toys. Fun!

Messy

This week's topic did give me a hard time. As I did not prepare it in advance. So, I am thinking hard in the last minutes hopefully I can still get it done. I thought of give this week up too.



However, I found this in the lift. I considered this as "messy". According to the dictionary, messy means untidy and dirty. So, I think this should be appropriate. Anyway, there is another way to describe this. It's vandalism. It's so unethical. And, I hate vandalism! I still don't understand why there are people like to mess things up and create trouble for others. :(

Anyway there is another "messy" that I want to share here. It's the decoration in "Friday" restaurant.


The arrangement of these decoration items don't seem tidy. But, they are still something worth our appreciation. In fact, can this be consider "artistic"? hehe...

Good Radiator for cars

It's about time to service my car. And, I really don't know how much I should stand by for replacement of parts for my old car this time. Hopefully all of them are still in good condition.

In fact, I just read that radiator, water pump, thermostat and various clamps and hoses make up the engine cooling system. And, I am truly concern about the cooling system of my car recently after I saw a car suddenly inflame on the road. That's scary cause it's something that might end our life almost immediately.

Anyway, I think I prefer to get a new Integra Radiator online rather than repair it in the workshop when I need to replace it. It's all because this online purchase is backed with lifetime replacement warranty.

What happen last Christmas Eve

So Christmas is over, and it's all about New Year now. Mostly what will you do in New Year's eve? I remember years back before I get married, I used to spend my New year in the bistro or pub. I guess it's all because I like the feeling of everyone shouting for Happy New Year together with the DJ. That's a real celebration to me! hehe...

However, now that I feel I better stay at home during New Year Eve as I had a "great experience" during Christmas Eve. On that big day, we were out around 11pm. First, we stop at Gurney Place. Frankly, that was a terrible experience. Imagine I carried little Elizabeth walked across the crowd that most of them were running and spraying everyone with the colored bubble pray. So, we jump into our car again after about 30 minutes there. And, drive to Gurney Walk. Our nose and throat were itchy, dry and very uncomfortable after suffering from the terrible chemical fragrance from the bubble spray. :(

I enjoyed myself at Coffee Bean, Gurney Place. And, you can try this new peppermint white chocolate ice blended ( with coffee) from Coffee Bean especially created for Christmas. It's good! Very Good... Cooling, refreshing and rich in taste. Remember to add wipe cream ya... :)



However, our car were bang by a non sense driver who suddenly drove out from the line at our opposite side to make his own way in the traffic jam. And, he just drove off immediately after he bang our car. We thought our car must be terribly damage. However, miracle does happened on Christmas eve. The loud "bang" just cause some scratches on the rim. Thank God. Most importantly, we are all safe. :)

Azul Beach Hotel

Frankly, I have never thought of visiting Mexico. Not until I found out there are many world class resorts available in Mexico through All Inclusive Cancun Vacations. By looking at all the photos, it seems I should visit Azul Beach Hotel in Mexico together with my family at least once in my life.

I really fall in love with this first boutique all-inclusive resort. Other than it's fantastic beach, and views, it provides exceptional quality services and gourmet too. It even provides extras like strollers, cribs, baby milk heaters, beach games, coloring books, refrigerators for milk and medicines, and even kid-sized bathrobes. Thus, It's truly attractive to people with kids or baby like me.

How could I miss this amazing resort that certainly offers marvelous families vacations . I believe this is going to be a whole new experience for me, hubby and my little baby girl. Thus, I promise I am going to be there -- Azul Beach Hotel.

When I was shopping in Sunway Carnival, Butterworth last Thursday, I kind of regret that I never bring my girl along as there is a great Christmas show for kids that even adults shared the joy! I guess it's all because of our Christmas mood! hehe...




Yeah... It's Power Puff Girls. I know there is a Barney show in KL recently. Even though there is no Barney here, I am glad that we have Power Puff Girls in Penang! Ho! Ho! Ho!


And, I enjoyed my favorite song "Rudolf the red nose reindeer... had a very shinny nose... " sang by this beautiful reindeer so much! :)

I recorded it not only for my girl. But, to share the joy of Christmas with all of you here too, my friends! I wish you a Merry Christmas... I wish you a Merry Christmas... I wish you a Merry Christmas... and a Happy New Year...Ho! Ho! Ho!

Should I Burp?

I just finish my dinner. And, all of the sudden I thought of the joke once my uncle told me. He told me that we should burp after every meal to show politeness. At that moment, I can't help but just laugh and laugh. Then, I am curious that why such a learned man don't know about burping is a bad manner? Yet, it's kind of unbelievable for him to said things like this. So far... I have never heard of burping is a polite deed. Why is he think so?

Eventually he told me that it's true. This is the culture for one of the Arab nation. Can you believe it? Anyway, if you are someone who can't control but will burp naturally after you are full, this is "the fact" that you can share with your friends. hehe....

But, what if you are someone like me who hardly burp after meal? May be we should drink a lot of Fizzy Drinks during dinner or lunch while we are at Arab. This is to make sure we show our politeness instead of being rude! hahahaha........

See... everything is possible in this world. And, there is no wrong and right. It's just that sometimes one man's meat is another man's poison.

Private Pool

We Malaysian will always have to celebrate our Christmas in the hot weather. There will be no white Christmas in Malaysia. However, due to the rising living standards in Malaysia, there are many swimming pools being build for private residential now just like the houses in Europe, Australia and America.

Even though building a swimming pool at home is a costly home improvement, but I am sure it will be worth it if it's for someone who always dream of it. I prefer swimming pool which will make our house looks like the five star spa resort. However, if there are phoenix pool builders that can provide many other atrocious designs for us to choose from.

I like Gurney Place

Last night I was at Winter Warmers again. This time I went to the one in Gurney Place. I bring my mum, Bill, my maid and Elizabeth together. Elizabeth was having great fun! We enjoyed the environment too as we sat outside and it was windy and quite happening. Tourists, local people, kids, youngsters, adults, women and men. Bright and beautiful surroundings with Christmas songs and Christmas tree everywhere too. Fantastic!



However, the waiter that served us in Winter Warmers is kind of disappointing. He is so blur. Kind of careless actually. Anyway, he made me laugh even though he spills the juice all over the table for once. What is so funny? Can you tell me how can a person being so careless until he will hit on the baby chair every time he walk to our table? Every time. So, total 4 to 5 times. It's hard to believe isn't it? But, now I now is possible! hahahaha....... I just want to say... be careful, boy! hahaha......

Anyway, tonight is Christmas eve. But, me and daddy will be at home I guess. No special planning this year. Kind of boring, right? Luckily, yesterday I really enjoy our night at Gurney Place. I think I still have a nice Christmas even though it's not white. And, Bill is already out just now. He won't be back till the next morning. He has his own plan with his friends for this Christmas! But, I wonder what would my New Year Eve be.

Tea Sets Collection

Do you have beautiful Tea sets collection at home? I prefer English or Country Styles for my overall home decorations. Thus, I have stained glass windows and flowery sofa set. I have one porcelain dinning set too. However, I have yet to collect the appropriate tea set. I am still using Chinese and Japanese Style tea set.

Now I am thinking it's time for me to get a real English style tea set like what I saw in Winter Warmers. They are marvelous. I like them all.

I will only get advance cash when there is important or emergency needs such as:

1) Need a big sum for medical cost
2) Study loan
3) Urgent car or home repairs
4) Home loan

Anyway, remember to calculate properly before you spend in advance. In my point of view, it is alright for us to get online cash advance. However, we have to calculate properly and make sure we have the ability to pay it back.

"Tang Yuan"

Yesterday is the day which most Chinese will make "tang yuan" ( in Mandarin) to pray and eat. According to Chinese tradition, this is a day we celebrate on entering winter time. However, there is no winter in Malaysia. But, we still enjoy rubbing the doe, and shaping it into a small ball. Forming the white doe is just like forming a tiny snow ball.Thus, many children enjoy doing it too.Commonly, there are 3 colors, white (plain) , red ( red coloring) and green (pandan). Still, there are new inventions like chocolate and orange "tang yuan".

Next, take bit by bit and form them into small balls.

After they are boiled in a pot of water added with sugar. They will be served. (Ops... I forget to snap the pic before I finished it.) It's a nice dessert for many Chinese. I love it too. But, I only enjoy eating these "tang yuan" with peanuts and brown sugar. We don't put it into the "tang yuan". We just dip the cooked "tang yuan" with it. It taste like "Mua Ji". Yummy! Never try this style before? You should then as you will never regret. hehe...

Invest in Condos

Condo living is very common is Penang. In fact, many people prefer to stay in Condo so that they can enjoy facilities such as basketball court, big swimming pool, gym room, jogging track with great views and so on. Condo is attractive for safety reason too.

In fact, today most people prefer a modern living with luxury life styles.Thus, it 's a great choice to invest in Condos for sale at any part of the world. Finally, I found a natural remedy for my mum's kidney stones problem. And, my girl has completely recovered since yesterday. Thus, I felt so relief and decided to give myself a break yesterday since it is a public holiday too.

I did some holiday shopping again yesterday. And, bought some pants for myself and a lovely dress for my girl. Anyway, I enjoyed having a cup of drink with hubby in Winter Warmers the most.

In fact, I don't visit Winter Warmers for years after I tried one of it's fruit tea which is too sour and taste a bit like detergent to me. hahaha......



However, I enjoyed it's mix fruit cocktail so much yesterday. It's yummy! Rich in sweet fruits taste this time. The slight sour taste is just nice. I like it's apple slices and cherry too. Thus, I miss Winter Warmers now. hehe...

I think hubby will be glad to take me there as Winter Warmers are always cosy. And, all he needs is a cup of coffee. Then, anywhere will do. :)

All of them are sick

Since Monday, I almost get not enough sleep every night as my little princess was sick. So do her dad and her granny ( my mother). Hubby is just having normal flu. And, he is almost fully recovered now.

And, my mum was found out to have kidney stones. After the CT scan, we found out that there are 3 tiny kidney stones in her body. And, she were only prescribed with pain killers to stop her pain. This is because these stones can be flush out naturally by her body system within a few days. Thus,There is nothing much can be done by the urologist. His only advise is go back to the hospital again if there is another severe pain felt. Thus, she just stay in the hospital for one night. She is home now.

Thank God. I am quite relieve at this moment.

My basic cooking need

These few days I am always in and out from the hospital. Thus, I have no time for marketing. In this case, all of us are eating outside. I still prefer to eat at home. It is healthier and cleaner. However, if I don't take the initiative to learn cooking now, I will still have to eat outside everyday once my old maid can't cook anymore.

As a beginner, I should choose the cooking utensils that are suitable for me before I get my hands on to try out all the recipes. And, I will certainly need Ove glove. So that I can serve all the dishes properly including the hot one without getting myself hurt.

Candy Art

Yesterday night when I was in Queensbay Mall, I saw something interesting. There is a Chinaman setting up stalls to sell "Candy". I think this is more like a lolly pop. Instead of blowing glass like what's famous in Venice, Italy, he blows and shapes these candies on the spot. Nice and amazing, isn't it?

There are pigs, roosters, mice, snakes, birds and other animals. Basically, these are all animal shapes candies. And, he is expert in creating the Chinese"12 Zodiac Sign". According to him this type of candy can last for 6 months without melting. It has no problem for normal room temperature. But, no water please. Once it goes into the water, it melts almost immediately.

Food and wine pairing

In this Christmas season, it seems like a tradition for most of the party to include wines. Drinking wines does create a more joyful environment. And, wine has become more popular nowadays due to the various claims about it's properties that are good for health.

Some people even drink wine everyday. Thus, may be you would be glad to know more about wine of the month club.

Anyway, I find the knowledge of pairing wine and food is interesting. Previously, I've learn that Red wines go well with heavier food such as beef. And, white wines is suitable for fish and chicken. Now that I've learn that we don't pair red wines with appetizers. Basically, a lightly flavored dish should have a nice light wine; While food with heavier taste should paired with the heavier wine varieties.

Car inflame

This is what I saw yesterday along Jalan Masjid. It is a Tiara. I am actually on my way to Butterworth (My MIL's place). When I read today's Star newspaper, it mentioned that this incident happened around 2.50pm. So, what I have here could be the scene after firemen has successfully put off the fire. But, I am not really sure, as you can see there are still fire under the car.

I only manage to catch this scene with half the car seen as daddy were driving fast to quickly past this "dangerous car" once he saw it's still on fire. Safety comes first, right? I ma not going to risk my life just for one picture. hahaha...

This car burst itself in the middle of a traffic jam. It's scary, isn't it? Luckily the driver react quickly. Thus, no one get hurts. So, this incident had warn me to check my car often to avoid unwanted misfortune. Also, we must always be alert. Just imagine if the driver still stay in the car... Oh! God bless us all! :)

Proper protection form sunlight

I am quite lazy to apply my skin care products last month. I guess it's quite normal for a busy mummy to forget about this routine. But, I am getting hardworking to perform these routine now as I felt that once stop applying, my skin texture get worst.

Anyway, do you apply sunscreen products during rainy days? Normally I don't, as I seldom go out when outside is raining. But if I am going out, then I will still apply my sunscreen lotion. This is actually the correct way. We are supposed to apply the sunscreen products even though it's a rainy day to properly screen out the remaining UVA and UVB in the air.

I am currently using Vedaway SPF 30 Sunscreen lotion. However, there are many sunscreen products available in the market. Some people prefer famous counter brands. And, there are many going for skinceuticals, Sothys and or Yonka Paris too.

Car accessories for hubby

Every weekends we will have some outing plans. However, tomorrow I feel like going to the workshop to repair my car too. Even though it's not a big deal, but I felt funny every time when I open the door as the handle was broken.

This damage happened a few months back. However, I just couldn't be bothered as I am not someone who really particular on car. As long as the car moves and still can bring me to my destination, then it's good enough.

On the other hand, hubby always being very protective over his car. He will feel the pain even from a few scratches on his car that cause by a minor accident. Thus, I am thinking may be I can get a cheap and good push bar for his car. In fact, push bar is an extra safety feature too.

They are "small"

Oh! I like this week topic cause I do have some cute little things to show. Firstly, I want to show you people a very "small" stroller.


Of course, this tiny stroller is only meant for dolls. It's impossible for my girl to get onto it.

Then, I have a cute picture of my little girl. This "small" baby is wearing a "small" sunglass. Cool, right? Frankly, I love this picture so much!



Next, I just want to show you the small teddy bear that I always hang it on my bed post. Yeah... I am just like a kid. I still like teddy bears. hehe...

The lamb is good. But, I never take them with the rice. I just add some gravy and mint source. That's my style. (Nothing much actually, just typical western style)



And, there are variety of fruits serve with chocolate dip fountain too. Of course, they serve ice cream too. Commonly, there are about 4 flavors including vanila, chocolate, strawberry and corn. These 2 specialty are kid's favorite.


As you can see, there are fresh seafood like oyster and prawn. The Oyster is big and the prawn is sweet. There are also all sorts of grills for you to choose including lobster and salmon. Anyway, please remember to try it's desserts. Most of the desserts are western style such as cheese cake and chocolate mousse. They are so yummy!


In fact, the best would be Saturday seafood buffet as it includes all types of Japanese sashimi. Other than Salmon, you can enjoy unagi, red and white tuna too. Mmm... Delicious! So if you prefer Japs food, remember to book for Saturday International Seafood Buffet. To me, this is the best seafood buffet in town. hehe....

I wish I can stay in a better hotel

In this holiday season, everybody is busy going to holidays. My sister in law is going to Langkawi soon. And, I already have a plan to Hong Kong too. However, this trip is more like an ordinary leisure trip. There will be no five stars hotel for us to stay.

Thus, I still prefer to follow hubby's convention trip. Even though this year we have no chance to visit great places like US or staying in those luxury Las Vegas Hotels. But, I am confident that the hotels we are going to stay in Cambodia still going to satisfy me. As last year when we visited Egypt, we were staying in "The Marriott". This is the advantage of his company trips. I believe if we go on our own, we will never spend so much to stay in such six stars hotel.

Anyway, we should choose to stay in hotels that at least have 3 stars rating, if we are particular about the overall comfortability.

Do you believe in fate?

Do you believe in fate? I remembered when I was a girl, there was once my mum was kidding with me as we discussed about the results in school. She asked:" How come others' kids can score so well?" And I asked her back, " Mmm... How come some of the parents are so rich?" hahaha......

We certainly understand that nothing can be compare in this world. Some people just have to work extra hard for their pot of gold. However, some may have great achievements easily. This is something really hard to explain. Thus, I believe in fate.

However, not long ago I ask a master (who is an expert in numerology) regarding people who are having the same birth date, are they going to have the same fate as well? His answer is... almost. Frankly, I am not satisfy with this answer. As far as I observed, the 2 person born in the same date, their life journey can be very different. And to me, no one is going to be the same.

So, last week when I was talking with my Guru ( the sami of the Temple of Baghavathi Amman), I asked him the same question again. His answer is no. 2 people might have the same birth date, but they can hardly born in the same time. Even within a second, their fate are still different.

And, he gave a very good explanation about it. He said, for example when we throw a ball up, the ball will drop almost immediately. Thus, within this very short period of time the position of the ball can be very different, isn't it? One is on the top, for one moment it is on the top and for the next moment, it is already at the bottom.
This is something new and logic to me. Thus, I appreciate this knowledge. And, I share it here just to remind my friends here that even though fate does exist, but not many in this world can truly read it. So, just work hard for your life and believe that we will be reward for every of our good did.

And, can I post another question here? If there is fate, is there any chance that we can change our fate in any way? What is your answer then? Sometimes I am just curious over all these spiritual things. I felt there are so many things modern science just can't explain and it's fun to know. :)

The Golden Compass

I am glad that both hubby and I actually spend a lovely night together watching "The Golden Compass" in GSC on the 12th. Finally, we found this method to celebrate our anniversary. In fact, this is not much of a celebration but we just enjoy the time spend together, especially there are only 2 of us. Frankly, we have not been to the cinema at least for the past 3 to 4 months. The last movie that made us walk into the cinema was "Transformer".

Now, as both of us are the fans of "Lord of the Ring". We will never want to miss out "The Golden Compass" which was produced and directed by almost the same group of people. So, how is "The Golden Compass"? This is what you might be asking, am I right?

One thing for sure that this movie is actually quite long initially. So, throughout the whole movie there are many sudden cuts. To me, these cuts did interfere the proper connection of the storyline.

However, overall it is a good movie. Good enough to make you stay up without falling asleep until the end. This time it talk about heroin. A girl called Lyra is the heroin. The most interesting part would be every soul has a demon. And, the human will feel lost of they are separated from their demon. Also, if the human die, the demon will disappear at the same time. I like that. I especially favor the leopard.

Of course, the bear is truly impressive! And, the bear fight has appeared to be the best scene for me and my hubby. May be it's the best for you too! This time the animal has become the hero. In fact, all the demon can talk. They are nothing lesser than the human in this movie. There are also witches in this movie. :)

Anyway, this is only the first episode. Obviously, there will be next. And trust me, you will feel slightly disappointed with the ending. But, don't worry too much as it is not a sad ending. It's just that you will feel not enough. It shouldn't just end there. As I told you, this is only part one.

Overall, it is an interesting story. There are great actors and actresses too. To me this is something better than Harry Porter and Narnia. But, still nothing can be compared with "Lord of The Ring". hehe......

I think we prefer to spend more on our boys and girls, am I right? hehe......

Business communication needs

I am just using mobile phones, fax and email to cooperate with my business communication needs. These few items are good enough for my business use. In fact, the office is not quite useful too as we are mostly dealing with regular dealers that will straight away contact us through our mobile phones most of the time.

However, if I plan to venture my business into direct selling. Then, I might have lots of phone calls directly form the consumers side. In this case, I will certainly need VoIP Call Center Phone Systems.

This system is a great choice for new ventures as it certainly do not need large upfront investment. It also help our business to save money on site maintenance and labor when our call center need expansion as our business grow.

My new camera

I finally get a new camera about 2 weeks ago. It's the new 790 SW from Olympus. Its features including:
1) Anti-shock 2) Waterproof 3) 7.1 mega pixel 4) 3x zoom 5) Videotaping 6) Multiple choice of set up for many different shooting occasions. For example, indoor, candle cuisine, night scene, behind glass, documents and so on.

I am glad in the sense I can shoot a clearer picture compared with my old camera when I use the zooming function. Also, I like the anti-shock system. Now that I can even capture a nice pic when my girl is dancing!Also, if my girl accidentally throw my camera to the floor, It's still safe. (However, I never try. So, I am not sure weather it really works in this way.Ha!)

And, I can snap a pic of the beautiful fish when I get a chance to go snookling again. Anyway, I am quite happy with the one click shooting set up for different occasion. I am very happy with the effect of the set up for shooting things behind the glass. The out come is so clear. No reflection at all.

Lastly, I can produce longer video now. ( As my previous camera will only allow a 60 seconds video for every shot) That's terrible, isn't it? it's even worst as I like to record the video through camera mos to the time. It's more convenient for me by just using one gadget for the 2 functions together.

However, I hate the battery. I think it finished off too soon. In this case, I might need to spend more on the stand by batteries especially when I am traveling for holidays.

Which mop are you using now?

Recently I just change my mop. And, I am thinking may be I should share with you how good it is. I am sure most of us don't use the conventional mop anymore which we have to squeeze the water out with our own 2 hands.

But, before I change to this new mop, I am actually using the type which has 2 straight plastic sides and the sponge in the middle. As we pull the control panel, the 2 sides will go straight down to squeeze the water out from the sponge. The worst part is this type of mop need 2 iron nails to screw the 2 sides to the handle. And, mostly these nails will oxidize themselves after 1 or 2 months and we just can't crew them tightly again. In this case, the whole mop is gone. It end up so costly.

However, this new mop it will be more lasting. As you can see, there is no more screw involved. I think the inventor had found out the fault for the previous mop that I mentioned above and create this better one.



Also, this time we use less strength as this new system has a more flexible sides which close down from left and right to squeeze the water out when we pull the control panel.


Trust me, it's so convenient. A very good mop indeed. Always remember to turn it upside down like what was shown in the first picture above after using it. So that the sponge can last longer. It cost me RM20 to get one of this new mop, but later on we can just change the refill (the sponge). It's only RM5 each.

Discount on Orlando Sea World Tickets

Today, it's quite hot in Penang. This hot weather leads me to think of my Hong Kong trip. I think by 5th January 2008, Hong Kong should be still cold. And, instead of visiting the old Ocean Park in Hong Kong, I am going to the new Disneyland this time. Hopefully there will be sea world in it too as I like penguin, dolphin, clown fish and other colorful fish too.

However, I wish I can get some discount on the admission tickets. It's best if there is an all in one ticket. In this case, normally it's cheaper. If not, I will still pay separately for the sea world tickets, but may be not all the other parts of Hong Kong Disneyland.

In fact, if I am going to Sea World Orlando, then I just don't have to worry so much as there is lowest discount price available online for it's Seaworld Tickets.

"Add oil"

What is opinion about Malaysian language? I think we tends to mix up all of languages that we are using in our country. We normally will add some Malay into Hokkien. That's Nyonya style. Nowadays, many of us can't even speak by just using a single language. We tends to speak out one sentence with many languages in it ( at least 2 types).

For example, what would you say in Mandarin if you want to encourage your friends or love ones to keep up with his or her effort? It's "Jia You", right? However, yesterday when I was chatting with my ex-student using MSN, all of the sudden she ask me to "add oil" when I told her I have so many assignments to complete.

Frankly, I just can't get what she meant at first. But within seconds, my brain starts functioning again. I am sure she means "Jia You". Hahaha..... this is what I called typical Malaysian. I am proud of you, my dear!The other explanation for the word "Jia You" certainly is "add oil". Very creative and accurate. Brilliant! hahahahaha...

So... "Add Oil", ya... all of my friends here! Hahaha...

Knee Problem

My mum starts complaining about aches and pains of her knees, especially her right knee. I think genetically our knees are not strong enough as my grandma has the same problem too after the age of 50. And, she still walk with her walking stick now even after operation. And, it's tough for her to walk up the stairs too.

Thus, I better start taking some health supplements to strengthen my knee. Other wise I will have to take the risk of getting the same problem with my grandmother. In fact, I shall never move to any house with long staircase to avoid future inconvenience. However, if I am not fit enough to climb the stairs with my own strength later, I can still depend on stair lifts.

I am a Cake Mania

You might wonder what am I doing for the past 2 weeks. Besides busy preparing my girl's birthday, I am actually addicted to something. And, it has take off all my spare time. Thus, I blog less.

Frankly, I stop playing computer games for ages. However, when I follow hubby to buy computer games in the beginning of November, I bought some Yahoo games. And, when I try out some of them, I became a typical "cake mania".

Remember I always grumbling about wanted to learn up how to bake a cake on my own? I think it's that urge create my curiosity on the game called "Cake Mania". And, it certainly became a great past time for me now. Instead of baking a real cake, I am having fun baking for the games. :) I am thinking may be you should try it too, you may just love it!

However, this week onwards I miss blogging again. So, here I am! I am back to blog for money, for gossip, for friends, for fun! LOL!

Calla Lilies

Don't you think these purple flowers are gorgeous? It's from my garden. But, I can only see them twice a year. I like flowers very much. I guess flowers can be considered women's best friend too. Don't you agree with me, ladies? And, the weather in Malaysia now it's full of rain and sunshine. Thus, It's the best season for most flowers to grow.




However, I can never get a chance to see some beautiful mini calla lilies in Penang. I think may be because it can't grow well in our hot weather here. Some beautiful flowers are only meant to grow in some cold countries. Luckily I still can buy it from the florist. It will be very disappointing if I can't get it at all in Penang as it is one of my favorite flower.

And, I am sure you know that each and every of the flower carry different meaning. Calla lilies simply means beauty. Frankly, I like it's definition too. I think this is a great choice for the men if they want to send some flowers for their ladies in this festive season.

How to peel mantis shrimp

Yesterday, we had a simple celebration for our wedding anniversary and daddy's birthday. I bought lots of fried chicken home from the night market which will held on every Tuesday. I also bought a few big fish and mantis shrimps home from the roadside fishmonger. He sells cheap and fresh seafood all the time. Can you imagine 1 kg of big mantis shrimps only cost me RM6? That's very cheap, isn't it?

However, do you know what is the correct way of peeling off the mantis shrimp's shell? As I realized there are many who don't eat mantis shrimps as they find it hard to peel of it's shell.

In fact, it's quite easy if we just cut out part of the shell of it's tail before we steam it. Then, we can tear it starting from that part once it is served. Remember, it's sort of like tearing a thing. Just use you hand, and never use your mouth. Anyway, always be careful with the thorn around it. It's hurt if you get cut.

Create more space for a truck

My brother in law is driving a truck. But, I've never seen him using tonneau cover. In fact, I think tonneau cover is quite useful as it create another covered space for a truck. As for my brother in law, I think he can certainly fetch his golf set or the stroller of my niece and nephew behind if he is using tonneau cover.

If I am driving a truck, I will surely buy a quality tonneau cover to fit into my truck so that I can transport more things safely. I've seen people transport goods with truck without tonneau cover. They just tied the goods up with string. I think that's very dangerous.

Thus, it's best to get a tonneau cover for the truck to protect our belongings. It is also to promote safety on the road.

Harry is still playful

Ever since my baby was born, I really didn't spend enough time with my dog. Sometimes, I felt so guilty. He seems so lonely. I am afraid that he is depress. Luckily he is not as he do not have symptoms of depression:

1) general apathy
2) lack of answer before any gratifying stimulus
3) somnolence
4) lack of appetite
5) excessive thirst

In fact, he is still playful. I am thinking may be I should pay more attention for him from now onwards before it's too late. Harry, we still love you, boy! :)

Ocean View Condo is the best

Even though I don't know how to swim, I still prefer to have swimming pool and spa in my house. And, I always dream of owning a big mansion by the beautiful seaside like Miami beach. All sorts of water features actually has the power to make us feel happy and relax.

In fact, when we feel stressful, walking on a beautiful beach can calm us down. The fresh air and the beautiful sceneries around certainly have the power to refresh us. The sound of the wave is very calming too. And, it's even convenient if we can straight away move into an ocean view condo. Thus, how I wish I can afford the luxury W South Beach Condo. If I can stay in this place, I think I am almost on vacation everyday.

A day of Double Happiniess

Today is another special day. In fact, December is always the month which full of great days. Thus, kind of hard to cope with the celebration sometimes. As for this year onwards, my girl's birthday is in December too.

Anyway, what is so special about today? Actually there is nothing special. Just one kind fellow being so nice and willing to take up the responsibility to take care of an ordinary lady at this special date. Yeah... I think you people already get it. It's our wedding anniversary.

Also, we married at a very special day. Before it has become our D day, it is actually my hubby's birthday! However, nothing much will be done today as we are quite tired now. We just had our family celebration for my girl's birthday.

And, I think we can only set the romantic moment during our trip to Hong Kong as that's the best time without any disturbance! hehe...

Home maintainance

There are 2 things in my house always have problems. The bulb in my house can blow up at any time, especially those which are not energy saving. I remembered there was once the bulk cable in my toilet burst as my maid screw it wrongly. Luckily no one get hurt at that time.

Another one is my auto gate. It just break down 2 days ago. In fact, I just need to change one of it's pump this time. However, the 2 pumps and the whole control panel will come in one set. Thus, even though I just need one pump, I got to buy the whole set at a time. Frankly, this is costly. But, I prefer to get a new set rather than getting a second hand pump. This secondhand pump that break down now just last me for a few months.

In short, to buy a house is so much easier than maintaining it. Also, always choose quality things for your home appliances. In the long run, these quality stuffs will save you so much money as they are lasting.

Modern Christmas Tree

If you come over to Gurney Plaza, Penang in this Christmas season, you shall see a very unique Christmas tree placing right in front at the main door of this plaza. I think it's beautiful and creative. And, this tall three could easily melts the heart of those white tree fans. I think white and light blue is a perfect match which gives us a very cooling effect. Just by looking at it, I seems feel the cold breeze. Thus, it's fantastic for us in Penang as the weather is so hot. And, we are always so warm. This is "cool"!


Also, here are some tips on the latest trend about decorating Christmas tree:

1) Symmetrical Design -- either same color or same item. For example, if you are using red, then all of the decorative items will be red. On the other hand, you can just choose just one type of decorative item such as balls or ribbons.

2) One item in one color -- For instance we can use only blue balls to decorate the whole tree like what I've shown you above.

3) Lighting has become more and more important. In fact, even if we just surround a bare Christmas tree with lighting, it will look nice too. And, the latest tree already come with beautiful lights at the ends of the plastic "leaves". All we got to do is just plug in to the switch box, then it's all done. ( However, this type of three is find of expensive)

In short, the trend now stressed on neat and nice. In this case, it's cost saving too. So that we won't buy unnecessary items that might not suitable for the overall design and waste our money.

Blogging has become one of the latest effective marketing tool for online business. However, there are still many of us just blog for fun. However, if you are someone who already operating an online shop, and yet to blog for your product, may be it's time to start now. In this case, by writing informative posts or selecting good keywords will attract more potential customers to your business.

Besides, you can always set up a forum for your customers or potential clients to make discussion on your product or any related topics. Providing professional answers will be the key run a successful forum.

Landmark in Egypt

This week we are supposed to hunt for "long" things. A lot of things are quite long actually. For example, s long hair or a long queue. However, the lamp post is long too.




And I have another beautiful drawing to share here. It's the art of Egypt.


And, this drawing is actually painted on the Egyptian Papyrus. In fact, Egyptian are the first one who invent paper, and the word "paper" was form based on the word papyrus. And papyrus is made from a plant that grows on the banks of the Nile River in Egypt.

After all, this drawing is a map of Egypt. As you can see, the Nile River is the river in the middle of Egypt which practically cuts Egypt into two. That's why there is east bank and west bank for Egypt.

Of course, I took this picture when I was in Egypt during March. And this map has clearly shown the length of this longest river in the world -- Nile River.

Also, if you are interested on how a papyrus was made, I can tell you as what I saw. It is just a simple process which involves removing the outside layer of the stem of an aquatic plant in Egypt called Cyperus Papyrus. Then, slice the inner layer into long strips and place side by side with the second layer on top. After that just soak it in water and press it under a heavy rock for 21 days. When the juice of the plant acted like glue and bonded the strips together, it will finally turn to a sheet after being hammered flat and dried under the sun.

My Christmas Tree

Tomorrow is someone's special day! Thus, these few days I am busy decorating my house to make it nice and warm enough for her special day. And since it is Christmas season, I've decided to make the Christmas decoration as her birthday decoration too. So that I can keep the nice decoration until New Year.

So, obviously Christmas is going to be the main decorative item. And, it's done! Have a look at my traditional look Christmas tree now!
