"ang pau"

I guess one of the most important thing for Chinese New Year is "Ang Pau". And, since I get married, I am no longer the one who receive "angpau". I had become the one who distribute it! :(

Most of the "ang pau" is for kids. But, some are for our elderly. For example, my parents and my grandparents. So, since I have to distribute "angpau". Then, I need the red packets. Mostly I will get the red packets from banks. However, have a look at what I've get this year...

The first one (counted from the left) is from CIMB, don't you think we need some other cheerful pictures rather than CIMB logos? *Slap forehead* I guess even kids will complaint about this plain red and "mat gold" design! :~

The next one is form Giant. Very disappointing too. However, the one from Ambank with the yellow round thing and a mouse in the middle, not bad right? Thanks God!

Anyway, I still have some cute and nice ones which I get from Hong Kong.

I guess the kids will like this... But, I guess is the money in there that make them smile happily! hahaha... But, I still need to use the Ambank red packets cause this is not enough.

And, I will give this to the elderly. Just nice! In fact, I like the Olympics design so much. Very rare. May be I should keep one as memory. :)

I realized I am quite particular about the design for red packets, didn't I? I feel in this cheerful season, all things must look nice! hehe... So, does anyone knows which bank has beautiful red packets?

Simple blogging tips

In this holiday season, it seems everyone is busy going out. We just want to have some fun rather than staying at home typing in front of the computer.

By right I should update all my 3 blogs daily. But, I feel so sorry that I can't really fulfill this condition. I understand that I must keep my blog update even during weekends if I want a better traffic or ranking. That's what all the professional bloggers did.

Even though I have no enough time to manage my 3 blogs daily, I still prefer to have 3 blogs to properly separate the different topics of my posts. This is to avoid messing up all the topics in one blog. I like neat and tidy.

In this case, I might find no time to operate an online shop. Of course, there is still hope if I decide to use shopping cart. I am sure even with little time, ecommerce software can help me to manage my online shop well. :)

New Year Mood

I am in New Year mood now. Start buying all the food for Chinese New Year since the past few days. And, I still have to do some cleaning works. Also, I've not shop enough yet. Thus even though hubby is in KL now busy with his new life insurance agents and customers, I am not lonely at all.

Anyway, Seasons soya bean drinks is good. So do Marigold lemon tea. Of course, the best would be the egg pastes which shaped like pieces of bee hives. It's from Batu Lancang afternoon market. It's sell by the auntie from one of the flower stalls. I've tried it last year. It's so delicious! Something unforgettable! Thus, I buy again this year. :)

Every year there will be Chinese New Year decorations for my house too. This year the cherry blossoms are something new. In fact, I've collected some real dried sticks and plan to create a cherry blossom tree on my own. Finally, I give up. I think it's not practical at all as I have to throw it away after the New Year. It's too big and there is no place for me to store it.

So, I end up buying a few sticks of ready made plastic cherry blossoms. There are so many designs in the market. And, I think this is marvelous. Cheap and nice! :)

"Old-Fashioned" Bicycle or Motorbike?

When I was in Shen Zhen not long ago, I find this unique motorcycle. To me it really matches it's name "motorcycle". It is more like the combination of bicycle and motorbike. However, I am not sure is it motor operated. Looks like it is driven along by our feet. But, in a way it looks like motorbike too. So? *Scratch my head*

Actually this thing is kind of strange. However, it's might be old-fashioned, but it's cute and very practical, isn't it? It's convenient for us to fetch some groceries around as there is even mini basket in the front part. :)

Looks like it's time for us to get closer, Wen. Anyway, sorry for being late.

1. Everyday Healy loves to eat: Spicy and Sour stuffs
2.
Everyday Healy hates to eat: Soya Bean drinks.
3.
Everyday Healy loves to go: massage, shopping, vacations and supper.
4.
Everyday Healy hates to go: home. Ha! Actually it's not true. The truth is... I am quite homely. I prefer to stay at home espeically in this hot weather. :P
5. Everyday Healy
loves it when: Hubby ask her out. Yeah... that's precious as he is quite busy with his work most of the time.
6.
Everyday Healy hates it when: baby Elizabeth don't want to "poop" in the potty.
7.
Everyday Healy loves to see: everyone in the family is happy, especially the smile of Little Lizzy.
8.
Everyday Healy hates to see:
9.
Everyday Healy loves to hear: good news.
10.
Everyday Healy hates to hear: bad news. Ha! These 2 last answers is quite amusing as it's too "ordinary". But, it's true, isn't it? hehe...

I think most of the you already did this tag. However, I am still going to pass it to:

1) Napaboaniya

2) Wuching

3) Mamajo

Just to try my luck. It's for friendship. :)

It's time to invest

I guess inflation seems unavoidable. And, market situation become unpredictable. It's rather obvious that the down turn of US market will certainly affects many countries including Malaysia.

However, rich ones will treat market down turn as an opportunity for investing in share market. In fact, we should buy shares when their prices are low. But, we can invest in this market situation only if we have sufficient back up funds for uncertainties.

In my opinion, people who can afford to invest in this market situation will surely invest in properties and gold investing is possible too. Anyway, anything we invest now may need some time to harvest. In the other words, we must hold these investments for some time in order to see the profits.

Happy Birthday, Bill

21st was my brother's birthday. And, I did not snap any pic of him blowing the birthday cake. In fact, when my mum asked me to sing the birthday song for him, I am still busy blogging. LOL! Finally, of course I am there to sing. That's it.

Yesterday, I read that many blogs are talking about the birthday celebration of their family members. I felt so bad. Truly bad. How come I just let his birthday past and don't even bothered to prepare a present for him? What happened to me? How come I have turn to such a careless sister now? So bad...

Please forgive me, boy!Happy Birthday, Bill! You are sure to get your belated present. I promised! :)

It's funny

I am always clear that why I fall in love with this man. Look at him, he is really those kind that work hard play hard.

I think he is so talented to act, don't you think so? This is certainly one of reason why I enjoyed my Hong Kong trip so much. I felt I am so lucky to have him every time I saw him making fun of himself. Of course, deep inside my heart I understand that partly it's because he wants to make me laugh. All this while, he had made such a great effort to make me laugh. Thank you, my dear! I am touched. It's such a happy marriage we had. And, you did well as a husband and father cause you always try your best to make us laugh.

In fact, I am thinking I should take advantage of the Shutterfly coupons to enlarge these photos since I still can't find the time to walk into the photo shop.At least It's something to remember. :)

It's Ridiculous

It's Monday again. I find that I am less energetic these days. May be because of the weather. It's so hot these days. The heat makes me feel lethargic. Sleepy all the time. How I wish this situation will pass as soon as possible.

And, since I came back from Hong Kong, I found that most of the hawker food has raise their price tremendously. From about RM3 each to RM4 or RM5 each. Really ridiculous. Is it because of New Year? Or it's just like what most of the hawkers insisted. The price of the raw materials has increased.

Anyway, this means our expenses is escalating and I don't think most of the our wages has any changes. What are we going to do about this? I guess there is nothing much we can do except cook more often at home. Eat at home is certainly going to save us a lot of money.

Spend Smart

Chinese New Year is around the corner. My expenditure is getting higher from week to week as I start buying cookies, ordering cakes , buying new clothes, making Chinese New Year decoration and so on.

In fact, I tends to overspend during most of the Chinese New Year season. By right we should watch our spendings. For instance, I have stop buying clothes for my girl now as I realized I have spend too much on her clothings.

I believe we have to be smart on money management. For example, Insurance is very important for us as a protection, investment or retirement fund. Somehow, there are still many out there who will rather spend on cigarettes or alcohol instead of term life insurance quote.

Some Cartoons for you and me

What is so important? I think these are fairly important if we want to get into Hong Kong Disneyland. Yeah... the entry tickets.

I just came back from Hong Kong. So, I am in the mood to show you some of the photos I took in Hong Kong Disneyland.

And, I guess they are certainly the most important thing in Disneyland.

Don't you agree with me? However, "He" is the most important for my girl. My little Elizabeth loves "Pooh" like nothing. Unfortunately my girl was not there with us. Thus, I promise myself I am going to bring my girl to Disneyland as soon as she learn to tell when she needs to "let go". hehe...

Someone from Hong Kong

I did met all the stars in Hong Kong. And, I am glad I did. Of course, my favorite would be this 2 handsome gentlemen, one from Malaysia of course. (Must "angkat" a bit, so that he will keep taking me with him when he travels every year.) hehe...

Anyway, I couldn't believe that I actually had a romantic clash with Leon Lai. So, how about this? hahaha...

And, there is someone who is always in my heart too. I miss you, Leslie.

Finally, do you know who is this guy? Now, I know you are sure to realize that those on top are just "wax man". But, this is a real person. Do you watch "Kung Fu Hustle" from Stephen Chow? This is the tailor who fight with great Kung Fu and die after a great fight with the 2 bad guys who can kill with their music instruments.

Anyway, he is truly friendly. And, we met him in YMCA Hotel after his birthday party which was celebrated with a group of "Kung Fu" trainers from all over the world. Something like that. And, I saw him posting with so many Kung Fu Styles to take pictures with his friends. Fit! Cool! Macho! Fantastic! :)

Pocket watches

Other than Hong Kong, I have been to Shen Zhen for a few days too. And, before I leave Shen Zhen, the tour guide actually promoted their new gold and silver pocket watches which is specially created for Olympics.

Even though I like pocket watches, but I prefer those with ancient designs and good qualities. Thus, I forgo these 2 gold and silver pocket watches with only the 2008 Olympics logo on it.

However, I am crazy over the new pocket watches from Jewel Elegance, especially the one I show you on top. Even though it's new, but it certainly has the antique feel. Isn't it amazing?

Tim Sum

Now what's famous in Hong Kong? One of it has to be it's "Tim Sum". But, First of all, do you like "Tim Sum"? I love it of course. But, it's nothing compared to just "Chuk" -- porridge. I simply like "Chuk" more than anything else. And, the porridge in Hong Kong is simply the best! Ultra smooth... totally muddy... just add in a few piece of "You Cha Kuai" -- Deep Fried Pan Cake, *Slurp* Yummy! Believe me... None of it here is compatible.

Of Course other than "Chuk", I like the smooth and glossy "Cheong Fun" too. Really Smooth and soft. And, each and every piece are filled with "Char Siu" -- BBQ Pork. Just add a little bit Chili. Mmmm..... Delicious!

Another 2 items that I like would be "Siu Long Pao" and "Har Kao". Again, the skin of the "Har Kao" -- Steam Prawn Ball is so smooth and the whole thing is big, much bigger than what we have here. Then, there are a few whole prawn in it, fresh and sweet. I wish I still can find it here. But, really... it's something we can't get it here. (Unfortunately, I forget to take a pic of it... Sorry!)

About the "Pao", may be it's freshly serve, thus, the skin is soft and fluffy. Of course, the filling -- "Char Siu" is yummy too! :)

Most importantly, all these "Tim Sum" was steam and serve almost immediately. Thus, all of them taste so good. Hot and fresh!

And, if you realized, there is a type called "Leng Yu Khaw". It's actually a type of fish ball which hardly seen in our Malaysian Tim Sum too. It's unique. When it's fresh and hot, it taste great! But, once it's cold, it's smelly. :~

Next Diffrent Vacation

Holiday in Hong Kong is quite tiring actually. Since morning till midnight, from shop to shop we walked non stop. Of course, we eat non stop too.

Also, most of the hotels are quite small. And, there is always heavy traffic along the road. Thus, it is somehow stressful. I think for my next holiday it's best to be a relax one. In my next trip, I am looking for a quite environment such as what surrounds the Branson hotels, trees, big fields, fresh air, clear water, lake and cosy cottage.

Lou Poh Peng

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am HOME!!!

First of all I would like to show you some yummy stuffs I bought form Hong Kong. For example,

Hong Kong "Yuan Long Lou Poh Peng"(Direct translation would be "wife pancake".) I tried "husband pancake" before too. And, I am truly satisfied with this "Lou Poh Peng". Very good...... 2 thumbs up!

Of course if you never tried it before, I can roughly tell you what it is. It is soft. And, it is filled with "Tong Gua" -- Winter melon. So, when we give it a bite, the feeling is like we bite on those pancake with coconut feeling but simply softer... Anyway, this time I get something which is not sweet at all. I am truly glad that I get a good one this time. I like it so much. No sweet stuffs, please... hehe... Frankly, there are many companies making this type of pancake in Hong Kong. And, some of them are too sweet. Yet, many are not soft enough. But, this is just nice. So all I can say is...... Delicious!

On the other hand, this is "Tan Quin", it's something like our "kuih kar Paik". I think in English we can call it "crispy egg roll". My girl love it so much! To me, it's certainly better than "kuih Kar Paik". More Crispy! And, very rich in egg! Oh... Yummy! :)

They are all from the same company. And, they are all so delicious! So, remember this green box, ya.

Of course... there are more coming up soon...And, it's all about Hong Kong.
:)

Need some rest

Even though I am home, and have so much things to share. But I am terribly tired at the moment. For the past 7 days, about half of the group were sick. It's quite a "stressful" trip. Anyway, we still shop and shop and shop. And, we enjoyed all along the whole trip too. Nice stay and great food!

However, I prefer to have proper rest now before I start blogging. Thus, see you ladies and gentlemen later, k?

I will be right back! :)

1 week holiday

Alright. Now here I am finally. I have skip blogging for the past few days not only because I am tired and sick ( gastric and flu together), but also because my computer is "sick" too. Gosh! What a New Year! Anyway, from today onwards...

Holiday Blog Break!!!

By tomorrow lunch hour I will be in Hong Kong for 7 days. Hopefully, I will fully recover by tomorrow. So, see you next Sunday! Miss ya...

No more car Installment

I finally paid the last installment for my SLK (Super Little Kancil). Frankly, it feels so good to get rid of commitment. This car was bought in 2001. At that time I just out of my school and my mum is kind enough to get me a car. But, she did not paid up all for me. She wanted me to choose a car that I can pay the monthly installment with my own salary. At that time, I am only earning about RM 1000 per month. Thus, I pick Kancil. And, in order to keep my financial pressure to the minimum, I chose to drag the loan to 7 years.

Now I really don't feel like changing my car as it is my first car. And, it is so convenient to drive a Kancil around the city. Less petrol consumption and even small parking space can fit it. From now on, I can forget about my car installment and just pay for cheap auto insurance quote. In fact, I still feel there is so many advantages of driving a small car.

One last time

Gee, this is already the 3rd or 4th year! I need prayers, please......

What happened? I have gastric on new year's eve! And, I practically get sick every new year's eve for 3 or 4 years continuously. How could this be possible? But, it's true...... I am just so... so... so... lucky, didn't I? Thus, I need prayers... Wish me will never get sick anymore during all the coming New Year's eve for my remaining life time, will you? LOL!

Don't "punish" me anymore at the very last minute of the year, my Lord! I guess I am not that naughty, didn't I? hehe... Anyway, I am getting better now, after 2 nights of struggle! Hopelly it won't get worst as my Hong Kong trip is around the conner. :(

For this New Year... Hooray! The New Year is still great! And, may it be good or bad... the past will surely past us by and the brighter tomorrow is awaiting us now!

So, will you forgive my previous sin, and bless me from th beginning till the end of 2008, my Lord? And, Thanks for all your blessing (for the past and for the future), my Lord.
:)

May God bless us all for best luck and great health in Year 2008.

Make Donation

Other than Barney or Brainy Baby, I would encourage my girl to watch any other cartoons that has educational value. In fact, I think videos that teach them behavioral ethics is far more important than learning ABC...

I feel grateful that there are still non profit companies like Car Angle who actually put in effort to make educational videos that stress on the importance of love, kind, patient, unity, generosity and many other good ethics. Until today, they already made more than 2.4 million videos for the kids and teens. And, I am proud to share one of their interesting creation here.

I guess this genuine effort does worth the support of the public. And, their source of donation may not only from cars. We can even donate boat if we can afford.
