Our maid
I have friends with Indonesian maid like me. And, my cousin hires a Filipino maid. Maids from Vietnam, Cambodia and Sri Lanka is common in Malaysia too. I guess we need maid for convenient sake. As most of the mommies are working nowadays, maids are playing important role to help in taking care of the younger or the elder generations.
Somehow, there are also people who just can't stand maids. They prefer to live without a maid. I do agree that maid can be fishy sometimes. Especially when we are not around. In another way, we also have to take care of the maid. hahaha...
With so many scary news about the maids' crimes, many employers actually have hidden spy camera at home to have an eye on the maid. I think this is perfectly alright to make sure our family members is safe.
Somehow, we just have to make sure we never lock our maid alone at home without leaving a key for her. We need to think about their safety too. Just imagine if the house is on fire, then she might get burned alive since she can't escape from the house. That's pitiful! :(

Butterfly Farm
Last Saturday, hubby and I actually visited the Butterfly Farm in Teluk Bahang, Penang. It's a small cozy farm with lots of butterfly flying around. Frankly, as an adult, we don't really enjoyed the visit. But, Elizabeth love it! Just nice for little ones like her to walk around on their own and have fun with the beautiful butterflies surrounding the farm. :P
Elizabeth was busy chasing the butterflies.
But, mummy like Orchid mantis. I actually thought of rearing many of them as pets at home while I first saw them. It really got the right name as it is just as beautiful as orchid. :P
And, daddy always like fish more than anything. Luckily, there was a big pond with beautiful Japanese Koi. hehe...

Outdoor Dinning

Do you have breakfast corner at home? A breakfast corner can be a totally different area from the dinning area. Some people build their breakfast area near the pool side or in the middle of the garden. I think that's a fabulous idea.
Even if we are living in an apartment, we can always have the simple only for 2 dinning set placed at the balcony. In my opinion, it's good to feel the warmness of the sun and enjoy the greenness of the garden, the view of the pool, the sea or the sky while having our breakfast before we start our hectic daily routines. That's relaxing! :P
We are even luckier if we have a dinning area which is nicely decorated at a corner of our house that can see nice view, such as by the pool side. In this case, there will always be romantic dinners. :P
Anyway, we need outdoor quality patio furniture if we are going to set our dinning or breakfast area in our garden or by the pool side. They are simply more durable under the hot sun.

Name Astrology
Do you believe in the power of names? Most Chinese will select the name for their babies according to the right matching with the babies' birth date and time. we believed that names does affect our fate. As all Chinese words are form from vary types of basic strokes, most Chinese name astrologers are very particular with the stroke counts of the names.
Somehow, few weeks ago I met a name astrologer who actually can describe our characters and a little of our fate just by reading our name matching with our zodiac sign. He don't even need our birth date and time. And, he don't believed in stroke counts either. Somehow, It's quite accurate. Interesting and amazing!
Because of his reading, I change my daughter's name to a more suitable one. Will she leads a wonderful life later? We shall see how good is his predictions. Hahaha......
Anyway, there is even name astrology for English names. It is very famous among the Indians. In fact, there is one very famous Indian name astrology book which written in English has been widely used among all the races. I have seen it. I will find it and show it to you one of these days. :)

Something must be done
My internet connection has so many problems recently. Looks like I have to start blogging offline. Then, just published it whenever the line is in good condition. That will save up a lot of my time and avoid frustration. LOL!
Anyway, Bill suggested I should upgrade the router we are using now to a higher Mbps or upgrade the internet service to a higher GHz. So, looks like I am supposed to follow what he said. It's terribly lagging. In this situation, it left me no choice but to spend on upgrading the service and wireless router.
But, I might end up overspend if I do it within this month. It's all my fault! Why should I get so excited about my birthday month and keep shopping for clothes? Terrible vain lady! :(

Fuel Price
Fuel price hike seems seriously affecting world economy. Our lives is going to get tougher. Initially, I thought Malaysia has the cheapest fuel price compared to all the other Asia regions. So, I felt lucky. Somehow, as I found out the petrol prices for other oil producing countries...
- UAE RM1.19/litre
- Eygpt RM1.03/litre
- Bahrain RM0.87/litre
- Qatar RM0.68/litre
- Kuwait RM0.67/litre
- Saudi Arabia RM0.38/litre
- Iran RM0.35/litre
- Nigeria RM0.32/litre
- Turkmenistan RM0.25/litre
- Venezuela RM0.16/litre
- MALAYSIA RM2.70/litre
Wow, they are even luckier! It seems I am paying the highest petrol price compared to them. LOL! Quite upset actually. :(
Anyway, life has to go on!

Nice Pizzas in Town
Do you enjoy taking Pizza? Bill is a typical Pizzas Lover. I like pizzas too, but not always. Anyway, I found new great pizzas in town. So, Let's talk about Pizzas! :P
I have tried the starter, garlic bread and home made mushroom soup. Nicely decorated and delicious garlic bread! Nice soup with original mushroom taste. Somehow, I think it will taste better if there is less pepper in it. :P
Now, I am proud to present the "Aloha Chicken". My all time favorite. Yum! Yum! Great taste! Ultimate fragrance! The chicken chucks, the pineapple slices, and the cheese topping, all just nice. It's another finger licking good! :P
The "Deep Dish" is another good choice. Try its special source. May be you can try other flavors with beef. They should be nice. I never order any as I don't take beef. I tried "Tuna Lover" though. Don't really like it.
And, remember to ask for the special in house chili source, if you love "hot pizza". I like this chili. Be prepared though, it's going to be really hot! hahaha...
Don't worry, you can always have other options if you don't like it. Tabasco will be on the table all the time. When you had enough pizza, you will gain a total satisfaction if you take a few sip of "honey lemon". It's nice.
On the other hand, these soda drinks below are really not my cup of tea.
Finally, they are all in the "PizzaRus" located in Prima Tanjung at Jalan Fettes, Bandar Tanjong Tokong. Frankly, it's so much better than the famous PH. Give it a try. May be you will love it so much like me.
Good food is hard to find and definitely worth trying. Don't worry about gaining weight. There is always cheap Phentermine can come to rescue. hehe...

Indiana Jones
Dr. Jones. Indiana Jones. Are you familiar with this guy? Our friend and hero -- Indy is back! When I was still a primary school kid, he is my great hero. My grandfather is a loyal fans for this adventure movies too. Thanks to Steven Spielberg. Finally, I got my hero back! hehe...
Thought of my grandfather too. But, he is no longer around. Miss the time we watch Indy's amazing adventures together side by side. Miss you , Grandpa. :)
Back to The new adventure of Dr Jones -- " Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls". Interesting opening. Funny all the way. Really funny. Enjoy laughing from the beginning till the end. Unique characters. Attractive story line. Giant ants, Aliens, enemies, hidden treasures, traps, tricks, stupidity, intelligent deeds, and endless clues. Thus, I still love it! LOL!
However, our hero is getting old. And, he got married. I think we shall soon cruise along the next adventure with his beloved son. I like him! Since he was Sam Witwicky in "Transformer". He is always cute.
As Jones, He uses small knife which we used to cut fruits instead of his father's handsome whip. Also, his father wears hat; He likes to comb his hair tall and puffy like Elvis Presley. Hahaha......
If you like the trailer, go watch the movie then! LOL!

How to deal with Inflation
Recently, I am following closely to the oil price news. And, I've read from the net that our new pakatan leader Sir A promised to reduce the oil price once pakatan wins the 2/3 majority seats. Frankly, I pray for him.
As I still think that we can at least gain some advantages over the price of the oil as Malaysia is one of the producer of oil. Despite the escalating price of the oil, great inflation throughout the world, especially in Asia is certain now.
Instead of being panic, we should start drawing plans to save. I will:
1) Save electricity, as electricity in Malaysia just raise another 20% during last week. ( Switch off the air con, computer, TV or lightings whenever we are not using. )
2) Plan ahead before every trip out to save petrol.
3) List down the things that I need to buy. And, Shop according to the list.
4) Learn to cook at home. And, try to eat less at the restaurants.
5) Keep track on our spending. It's best if we can write down how much we have spend in a day. This is fairly effective to avoid overspend.
Finally, you can also start looking for offers with lower interest charges on credit cards balance transfer or house and car refinancing.

Great Inflation
Today, Petrol price has gone up again! This is a big issue for everyone in Malaysia now. Yesterday, traffic jam everywhere. When people knew there will be a 40% increment in petrol price tomorrow, everyone rushed out to "feed" their cars.
Even though there are reimbursements for any car with 2000 cc or below, but it seems quite little. Now, it's RM 2.70 per liter. But, the petrol price will raised again in July and gone up even higher in August. In fact, It's not so much about the petrol expenses.
We are more worried about overall inflation. As petrol price increases tremendously, the price for everything in the market including a bowl of Hokkien Mee will increase too. Recently, the price changes in rice already quite shocking. At he same time, TNB even announces a 20% increment in electricity together with the announcement of petrol price increment. Obviously, great inflation is on its way.
Our government always compliant about the losses due to the subsidy of petrol. However, we actually pay so much more for buying cars compared to many Asian countries. Hopefully the full plan regarding this petrol price issue just won't end up causing us to pay for expensive petrol, expensive cars and unbearable living expenses.

LASIK
I guess it's time to check my eye sights and go for dental check up too. I have nearsightedness and astigmatism since I was 10 years old. Seldom wear spectacles, but always put on contact lenses. Still using the same old AOSept to clean my Acuevue Clear every night.
Spectacles is like a burden in life. Contact lenses is certainly a great invention compared to spectacles. However, it's still quite troublesome. I need to clean it properly everyday to avoid eyes infection.
Thus, many prefer Lasik now. This is a fantastic procedures which managed to correct our vision. In this case, Lasik can help anyone with nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism to completely free from spectacles and contact lenses.
Should I try? In fact, I can even save so much money in the long run if I get rid of my contact lenses. I just don't have to spend on lens and its cleaner anymore.

When is The End of The World
Do you believe in Armageddon? Moreover, how will you feel if 4 years later it's the end of the world? Will you think it's still something too far to consider? Then, may be you are concerned about Mr. Juseleeno's predictions on the natural disasters that will happened within the next few months.
Mr Juseleeno's claimed he sees the future in his dreams. And, he foresees there will be an earthquake and tsunami in Japan on this coming July 18th and several earthquakes in China continuously happened from now until September 18th. One life threatening virus will appear in 2011, which will kill those who are infected within 4 hours. Also by 2015, the earth temperature will raise to 59 Celsius and much more.
If you are truly curious and actually anxious about the end of the world which will reached us in no time, then you should look into the Maya's Prophecy. According to this ancient prediction, we are in the fifth cycle which the earth will be ended by earthquake.
Somehow, I believe in what the Maya's predicted more than any other predictions. It's December 21th 2012. But, don't worry! In the prediction, it never precisely said that the world will be totally destroyed on that special day. It's just the end of the Maya's Calender. hehe...
Really that simple? That seems nothing interesting! Of course, there are more than that. But, the Maya never believe in endings. So according to the Maya's Prophecy, most predicted that 2012 is the beginning of the new era of the world full of love, peace and understanding. Somehow, something will have to come to an end at that time.
