This is another famous romantic drama from Huang Xiao Ming. It seems that this time he is the producer as well. Well, I supposed he had make quite some money from it. As this drama is truly attractive. Thus, it's famous. :)

The story is kind of touching as there was lots of scarifies for love and family. Cheng Yuan (Huang Xiao Ming) in this drama is a rich, smart and cool man. I like it! Overall, it has great actors and actresses. The female lead -- Wang Luo Dan is my another all time favourite.

Somehow, I have to admit that both leads spoke English that I can hardly understand what were they trying to say. So, if I were them, I would prefer to change all the English speaking part to Mandarin.

Overall, it is a fantastic romantic drama. :)

Sometimes, I feel like my computer is more like my TV. I am always in front of the computer watching free drama series from the web at home. Worst still, I have seen youngsters carrying their custom laptops or ipads everywhere just to play games or cyber chatting in FB most of the time. LOL!

Looks like most of us just can't live without computer. So, be it good or bad; At least I am an updated millennium gal. Hahahahaha......

Yum Yum Pork Knuckles

Try this place if you are in Penang. It's in Straights Quay. The environment was kind of comfortable and nice. The service crew was very friendly too.

It's definitely a great place for some drinks and chit chat or watching football as well. As for me, I miss the delicious food the most. Ha!

Look at this Pork Knuckles. It's my girl's favourite. So do my whole family. It is not only looking good from the outside, but taste exceptionally yummy.

You can never imagine how crispy the pork skin will be, not until you munch it in your mouth. Even the lean meat part is soft. I also like the orange coloured black pepper sauce so much. What a fantastic meal!

As for the side dishes ( I will always changed the sauerkrauts to baked potatoes cause I never like sauerkrauts), they are so yummy too! :P

And, this is my drink. I guess when I walk in to a Bar, I would always like to try it's cocktail. And, this bloody red thing is actually strawberry flavoured Golden Margaritas.

It taste sweet and salty a bit. The taste is quite good. But the alcohol is kind of high. My face turned all red before I get to finished half of it. LOL!

Lastly, this is a yum yum desert too. It's milky, creamy and so rich in taste. Love it! *Wink*

Bare in mind that most of the dishes has quite a big portion. In fact, 3 of us just need one serving of 1.3kg Pork Knuckles and one serving of the bread and butter pudding. That's it! We already so full! :P

Rare Creatures

Have you been to I city? Most probably you did. As I am certain not those up to date type. Hahahahaha.........

Anyway, I city is a a light city full of light trees and figures. Then, it has an ice town which loading with huge ice carving, igloo and a few icy and extremely slippery slides. It's freezing!

It's fun if you wear enough clothes. But surprisingly, I like the reptiles or rare species exhibition in it the most. Look at all these creatures...

What a beauty aye? But extremely scary too!

I am never an adventurous being. I was puzzled when many kids told me their ambition are to become a vet. Wow! So brave! For me, I rather take up some designing, marketing or tech jobs. Safe and sound. Hahahahahaha.........

Summer's Desire

I love this Summer's Desire so much. This is actually the second time I am watching this drama series. Partly because I quite like Barbie Tsu's too. Hehe......

Crazy aye? I sounds like someone who is so free with lots of time to waste. Ha! I just need at break. I need some own space and time. Some day dreams too. Hahahaha.....

Cause mum got hurt, granny's Alzheimer is getting serious and hubby and I are sick. LOL!

Luckily, with a maid at home, I still have choice to give myself a break. Thanks God!

By the way, it's a fantastic drama that reflects the reality of life. Love is just part of our life. Life have to go on no matter what. Accept and enjoy what we have is the ultimate road to true happiness. :P

2011 Disney On Ice

I know it is so blur. Terrible shooting as I am just using camera to shoot this. Ha!

So that's where we have been to last weekend. We packed and drove down to KL on last Friday morning to catch up with this once in a year event -- Disney on Ice. It's specially for my girl as she is Tinker Bell's fans. :)

Anyway, I enjoyed the show very much too. Look at the way they skate. I used to love skating. But, I have never try ice skating before. I told myself I should after watching this fabulous ice skating performance.

The songs were so familiar and nice. The scene was colourful and the skating performances were simply amazing! But, the popcorn sold there was kind of tasteless and not crunchy at all. LOL!

Other than the popcorn, I am quite happy with other Disney toys that I bought for little Elizabeth. Somehow, it's kind of disappointing that there was no fairy's costumes for sale. My little princess loves that. Well, can mummy replace it with cartoon personalized tee shirts for kids ?

Anyway, It's absolutely a wonderful family experience and memory.

Don't feed the Stray

I thought pouring food for the stray dog is a good deed. The starving dog will surely appreciate it. As a matter of fact, I am totally wrong.

There was one old Husky and another old Cocker Spaniel being abandoned at the road side for 2 days. We thought they must be hungry. So we brought some dog food to feed them on Sunday afternoon. Both of them were sitting quietly at the bas station.

At first, hubby throw the dog food far away, then the cocker spaniel go picked up itself. Then, mum pour half a bowl nearby the Husky. The husky just sit still. Then, the Cocker Spaniel walk towards the food.

So, mum walk further away from them and pour another half bowl on the floor. Immediately, the Cocker Spaniel ran and stunned to bite my mum's palm without any sign of coming. There is no growling or barking at all.

Mum was bending while pouring the food. Luckily it never attacks mum's body or neck. It let go immediately after mum yelled and swing her hand. God Bless!

However, there is still a deep wound on mum's palm now.And we just came back from the 2nd check up. The wound heal quite well. Hopefully, she can recover as soon as possible.

From that day onwards I told myself, don't ever get near any stray or abandoned dog. Scary!

I want something good

Yesterday, I went to Copthorne Hotel to have my dinner. It's a Thai Food Buffet. I love Thai Food. But the buffet simply have too few choices of food. Also, I only like it's Kerabu, pandan chicken and the sweet potato dessert. That's all!

Obviously, that's not a satisfying dinner. Thus, today I want something good. I miss Haagen Dazs ice cream, the salad in Yaw's Roast and Grill, the cones and pies in Suffolk House etc.

As a matter of fact, there are still many restaurants in Penang that I have yet to visit. I am thinking about my little princess. It's school holiday.

May be I should bring her to some theme restaurants like the clinic restaurant with the waitresses wearing nurses uniforms. And, the toilet restaurant that has toilet bowl chair. Even the food is served in the toilet bowl. Hahahahaha......

That's something different. Cute! Somehow, I am craving for delicious food now. Not unique environment. Hehe......

I only like Hush Brown

This is what I ate for breakfast this morning. It's quite a moment as it's been some time I never take breakfast with mum and my brother outside. Just 3 of us together. I guess it's the first time in this new 2011. Ha!

It reminded me of our jogging routines about 2 years ago. That's when 3 of us always had our breakfast outside. Almost every weekend. :)

By the way, we went to McD cause we have the voucher of 2 free breakfast sets for a minimum spending of RM 5. So, mum ordered a hot cake set. That's yummy!

But I can hardly swallow this free set. Kind of tasteless to me. Luckily, it has Hush Brown in it. Hush brown is certainly a prefect breakfast. I mean the taste. I know deep fried stuffs can never make us healthy. LOL!

What's in the Ramen Kitchen

I always eat porridge in the morning. That's my favourite breakfast. :P

But, I was craving for porridge even at dinner time for last weekend. Thus, I went to this Xuan Xin Ramen Kitchen at Gurney Plaza's basement to try its porridge.

Mmm...... So smooth! The prawns were so big. And, there were quite a number of it. Exactly like the Hong Kong style porridge. Yum! Yum! :P

Besides, I like its Stir fried Ramen with Pork Belly with Dried Chilli. That's my mum's favourite too.

I like its Crispy Eel and Aji Salt and Pepper. But DQ prefers its Stew Chicken with Soy Sauce.

By the way, if you like Penang Hokkien Mee, then you should try this Seafood Ramen Soup.

In my opinion, it is something better than Hokkien Mee.

Somehow, I have to admit that this shop use lots of Ajinomoto in their food. Hehe......

The Last Night of Madame Chin

I have finished watching a drama series called -- The Last Night of Madame Chin. And these 2 handsome and beautiful are the main stars in it. Fan Bing Bing is as pretty as Barbie doll. And, I think Vic Chou has got a more matured or man look now.

Anyway, it's the love story of a lady who rises to prominence from a lowly ballroom dancer in old Shanghai from young till old. Quite a sad and long love story. And, it's about the olden days extreme love. Sort of like Romeo and Juliet or "the you jump, I jump" thing. Ha!

Frankly, I actually admires the beauty of Fan Bing Bing more than the story. Most ladies look much younger than their age now since the introduction of the best anti wrinkle cream like botox or steam cells. LOL!

But, such big eyes, high nose, nicely shape face, fair skin and tall look lady just ain't easy to get even after plastic surgery. So envy! Hahahahaha.........

My favourite Apple from Italy

My favourite was always the African Fuji before I found these. They are from Italy. Unfortunately, their names are forgotten. LOL!

Anyway, they are not only good looking outside, but they are also sweet, fragrance and crunchy inside.

Frankly, I like them more than African Fuji now. Somehow, it ain't easy to find them locally. They are not as common as the African Fuji. So I am forced to keep on buying African Fuji again. :(

Well, at least they have the same health benefits. Any apples will do if given no choice. As I need the minerals and vitamins in them to strengthen my immune system. And, the tannin in them might work wonders for me like the eye cream for dark circles. Hahahaha.......

Such Powerful Legs

How about that? I can't stop thinking:" Did she ever get hurt by such big pot during the training? It took her how many years to do this?" Just curious! LOL!

DQ was saying :"Make sure you don't get kicked by her strong legs. That is surely hurts." Hahahahaha.........

Well, if your jaw has nearly drop after watching her rolling such a big pots in the air, what would you react for this one below?

I said:"So what's next? A car?" Hahahahahahaha.........

Just joking. I actually said:"Wow! Unbelievable!"

By looking at these show, the old saying of Chinese -- One minute on stage, 10 years of hard work down the stage is absolutely true.

Forget about the laksa. I can still enjoy some sweets if I can't bear the hunger.

Look at all these beautiful rainbow colours candies. The colours are truly attractive. I guess that's why I kept receiving this type of traditional hand made candies from KL's friends as a gift.

Anyway, sweets usually don't get my attention. Somehow, these hand made candies can actually make me miss it. As their light sweet and sour taste are simply yummy! Mmm.........

Luckily, my girl is not sweet lover. So, I get to slowly enjoy this yum yum candies. Ha! I guess I will surely gain weight if there is a hand made candy shop nearby. LOL! Luckily, there is none.

No way! I have gain enough weight after CNY. Don't worry. I trust my determination. I can loose weight. I sure can. May be with a little bit of help from the best weight loss pill?Hahahahahahaha.........

I want Laksa

It's almost time for dinner. My stomach is making noise now. Somehow, the dishes is not served yet. Anyway, I am thinking about something sour now.

That's it! Laksa! This Laksa you saw in the picture on top is actually the Penang Laksa from Farlim. The shop actually put a banner stating something like"Shell Station Laksa". That's funny but it certainly get a space in our memory, isn't it? Ha! Could it be the reason it became so famous at Farlim area as well? Hehe......

Anyway, I think the location is at the 2nd lane of the shop lots which KFC is at its first row. The spring row is big yet is only 90 cents. When being soak in the laksa soup, it taste great! Something special compared to ordinary laksa.

Also, this laksa is special cause it got fish balls in it. Besides, it has lots of fish meat. The whole "Ikan Kembung" in fact.

Oh...... Can someone drive all the way to get me the laksa now? LOL!

I miss this dessert

At this late night which is so hot, I suddenly miss this.

This is a yum yum desert. It's chilling! It's called "Mi Qua Xi Mi Lu" in mandarin. It's a Chinese dessert made of pieces of honeydew, some "sago" and condense milk with syrup.

It's simple but taste great. I first found it in Hong Kong. Then I was so glad that I found it locally. I still miss those from Hong Kong. But, something is better than nothing. Ha!

By the way, this dessert should be good for prevention of constipation, but I am not honeydew can be a good colon cleanser or not. :)

Everyone is threaten by the E-banking Scam

This morning, I received an offer from CIMB regarding their Air Asia account. The first thing that came out from the sales rep mouth was: "Good morning, Ms. We are from CIMB. Don't worry, we are not scam and we have nothing to do with the latest e banking scam." LOL!

I think she made the right move. As if she never say that, I guess I will hang up the phone before she continued. Anyway, the offer is RM 50 will be debited to our new Air Asia account at CIMB if we open the account before 25th.

I have yet to find out from the bank weather this is real or just a scam. As getting cash in return seems sound a bit too good to be true either. Ha!

In case you have missed last week's news, beware of any email being sent to your inbox and telling you there is a "hitch" in your account. Please don't click into the link given to check your account online. As this is the new scam use to trick us into a fake bank website created by the cheats to get our account log in infos. They will just withdraw all our money out with the infos.

Suffolk House

It's Suffolk House.

We all agreed that Fruity Camomile simple taste better.

A High Tea set for 2 at RM 70+ after taxes.

Last Sunday, we went for high tea. It's my first high tea experience throughout the 30 years of my living. Hahahaha......... It's also our first time at Suffolk House. In fact, we wanted to have lunch. Unfortunately, it's already time to tea. LOL!

By the way, the set should be enough for 3 for those who don't eat a lot like us. So, we have 2 pots of tea, 4 pieces of cookies, 2 pieces of apple cakes, 2 pieces of butter cakes, 4 pieces of scones, 2 pieces of creamy mushroom chicken pie and 2 pieces of salmon sandwiches and 4 pieces of cucumber sandwiches.

I like all the jams and butter given. They are all lovely. Thus, my princess ate all the strawberry jam. Ha! The scones is the best as it is a bit crunchy and truly fragrance. Delicious! We like the chicken pie too. It's puffy and creamy.

Other seems nothing special to me and DQ. In fact, many can make better cookies and sandwiches than those given in this set. I don't think we will go for set any more. But my girl ate all the apple cake. :)

We will surely go back to have the scone and chicken pie again. See... It's all because of these good food that makes OxyElite Pro selling so well. LOL! Hahahahaha...........

By the way, it's a great environment for kids to do some exploration and running. Ha! Also, it's a quite environment that perfect for us to read.

Today is my Valentine's day

So, how is your Valentine's day? I just feel like eating something sweet and creamy to compensate my stay at home Valentine's day. Hahahahahaha.........

In fact, our plan is to have ice cream at Hug and Daz. Somehow, it was a rainy night. So we cancelled the plan. And enjoyed ourselves playing computer games together. LOL!

At least DQ came home so much earlier and spend time together with us. It's a happy day.

We can still have our ice cream later. So, today should be another happy day.

As long as we are happy together, everyday can be Valentine' s day. :)

DIY Chinese New Year's Art and Craft

These peacocks ain't easy to make. But, it impressed everyone that pass by. :P

Ang Pow Auspicious Chinese Coins. If you turn it around, it can be the number 8 which is the auspicious number for prosperity.

So the Western Valentine is over. If you missed it, you can still celebrate the Oriental or it's actually the Chinese Lunar Valentine. It will be this Thursday which is 2 days later. :P

I thought I have forgotten to share some nice decoration which was done right at the day before the first day of Chinese New Year.

That's what we did for this year's CNY home decorations. The peacock was marvellous! Everyone who visited us love it. I promised I will do more like fish or dragon for next year. Other than hanging them on the walls, I plan to make some door hangers, nice hanging from the ceilings and something standing on the floor or table top. Wow! That's ambitious! Haha!

I think these Ang Pow DIY is definitely more unique than those we bought from the shop. After all, The family members were having so much fun making them together. This activity is totally compatible with the Reunion theme. LOL!

Next year, we should have times baking cookies together too. :)

One again, may all of us are lucky, healthy and wealthy for the year of 2011!

I like James Foo Western Food

This is what we had for dinner last night.

This is mine. RM 8 or RM 9? I forget. It's called Holland Chicken.It's grilled chicken and ham with pineapple and cheese. Yum! Yum!

This is the sizzling chicken for DQ. I think it's RM 11. Not so sure anyway. But one thing for sure. It taste great. :)

They are all from James Foo Western Food. It's right beside Fatty Loh Chicken Rice at Fettes Park near Prima Tanjung. The operating hours is around 6 to 11 pm. The Western food here is cheap and good. It has delicious Jumbo juices too which can be shared by 2 to 3 person.

Inside, it has the old dark garden look too. Thus, it's very full at everyday weekends. I guess today it will be crowded. *Grin*

Try it! The food is nice and the price is reasonable.

Happy Valentine

First of all, Happy Valentine! :P

This year, DQ and I just take it easy. We never make any special reservation in any of the hotel. If he managed to finish his work before dinner time, then we will have a nice Valentine meal at a nice restaurant. Otherwise, it's fine as we will soon have our Valentine at Japan during end of March. :)

So... Already book your flowers, guys? And, have you made your chocolates, gals? May be you are busy searching for nice Valentine cards. But if it's already on the way out from the laser printers , don't forget to add some sweet love notes in it to make it really romantic. That's absolutely better than roses. Ha!

Pai Ti Gong

Wow! I stop blogging since 25th of January? It's been 2 weeks. Sorry! But I am back now! Hahahahaha........

First of all, Happy Chinese New Year to all of my friends here. *Wink*

And, today is the very special day of Chinese New Year. As a lot of Chinese family will still follow the Chinese tradition and pray to the "Tian Gong" by 12 midnight. As the 9th day of the Lunar New Year is the birthday of the Jade Emperor -- The Heaven God which we called "Tian Gong" in Mandarin.

So to most Chinese especially the Hokkien in the olden days, this celebration is even greater than the first day of Chinese New Year. But frankly, I am more exciting about Valentine's day. Hahahahahaha.........

During my childhood, we will pray at home. My dad will be busy buying sugar canes to tie beside the praying table, the food use to pray including fruits espeically Pomelo and Mandarin orange, "Mi Ku", "Huat Kuih", "the sweet white glutinious rice called "Bi Ko", some dried longan, dates, winter melon sweets and also BBQ pork or whole pig, chicken or duck will be on the table which has to be placed at the garden or the compound of the house.

But we always join the crowd in the temple, bring some fruits and pray together with them since about 8 years back. Somehow, we stopped praying since my grandfather died. Because it's the rule that those who has close relations pass away must stop praying for 3 years.

By the way, the tradition also includes everyone should wear new pyjamas on that night and lots of fire crackers will be burn. :P

And, I guess tonight I will bring my girl round the housing area or visits the old town to let her see how people "Pai Ti Gong".

Red Packets for 2011 CNY

So, this is what I've got for this year. I like beautiful red packets. I don't know about you, but I usually collect quite a lot of designs. And, they usually end up more than enough to use. Hahahahahahaha..........

Little kids might be fascinated with the beautiful red packets too. On the other hand, the level of excitement for teenagers will all depends on the amount of money in it. The greater the amount, the happier they are, isn't it? Hahahahaha..........

Then, these beautiful red packets will mostly go straight into the dustbin once the money in it has been taken out. Hahahahahahaha...........

Well, as this year Valentine day is still in Chinese New Year, high possibility that the young couples will be hoping for big Ang Pau to buy a luxurious Valentine Dinner or a White Gold Promise Rings for each other. All the best! *Wink*

Teck Seng Restaurant

We went to this Teck Seng Restaurant at the old town last night to have our dinner. This is a home cook style restaurant which has been famous for decades.

So, these are the four dishes that we ate that night. It's Belancan Chicken, Duck meat and salty vegetables soup, wet style fried egg Toufu and Ku Lou Yok. I like all of them, especially the Toufu except the Belacan Chicken. I think it was over fried.

As a matter of fact, we went to eat the two speciality of the restaurant. That's its Sambal Kangkung and fried rosted pork with back sauce and cili padi. But, we were late. And all of them had finished. :(

Anyway, the price is quite reasonable and it has lots of yum yum dishes. I think I might visit it again in the near future. *Wink*

Yum Yum Salmon Belly Teriyaki Don

I don't like this Soft shell crab Temaki.
Even though this Gyoza as nothing special. But, it is quite good.

This Butter Mushroom is slightly too rich in taste and too oily for me.

This is Chicken Teriyaki Don. Good!

To me, this is the speciality of Edo Ichi. I loves it. This Salmon Belly Teriyaki Don has very crunchy Salmon skin, the fish is smooth and the taste is delicious!

This is what we ordered in Edo Ichi for the first visit. It is located at the ground floor front row shop in Island Plaza. It's yummy! And, the environment is nice too with 2 big aquariums that has many types of colourful marine fishes in it. :P

Yesterday, we went for dinner again. I am craving for the Salmon Belly Teriyaki. I loves the fresh fish oil from the Salmon belly. It is so much smoother than other parts of the salmon. Somehow, they don't have salmon belly last night. Kind of disappointed!

Then, I tried the Unagi and 3 types of fish Sashimi set. It's yummy! Unfortunately, I forgot to take its picture. So sad that I can't share it here with you. LOL!

Finally, this is actually roast duck. It just taste alright to me. I still prefer Hong Kong style roast goose and Pecking duck. Wow! Let's go to Chung Hwa this weekend. I miss Peking Duck. Hehe.........

One thing I like about Edo Ichi. It serves good quality rice. Thus, I loves its Don. Thinking about good food and have a good meal is absolutely inspiring! In fact, it is a way for most people to relief their life pressure too. I guess that's why secratatropin is so sellable. Hahahahaha..........

Everyone loves ground nuts

I had a wonderful shopping at Tesco yesterday. Mum and I are totally in CNY mood now. As usual, we bought lots of ground nuts to eat during CNY.

These nuts were selling at a very low price at Tesco now. Mini market around my house are selling at RM 2.50 per pack. But, it's only RM 1.38 at Tesco. Very cheap, aye? The price is simply irresistible.

On the other hand, Tong Garden ground nuts cost RM 1.87 per pack. But buy one free one. Thus, it's a better bargain. So we bought some Tong Garden ground nuts to try out too. Hehe.........

May be I should buy more. As mum, DQ and my little princess are all ground nuts lovers. Nowadays, I quite enjoy eating ground nuts too. Hehe......

Previously, I don't really dare to eat lots of ground nuts. I used to afraid of extra acne caused by eating ground nuts. But I think I can trust my new found acne solution even though it might not be the best acne treatment. But, it works quite well for me. :P

A Trash Bin or a Drain?

Look at the drain right in front of Affin Bank at Prima Tanjung building. What a horrible scene! It looks like a trash bin far more than a drain.

Finally, we got the 12 chops after spending RM 100 over to buy 12 drinks from Starbucks. Well, what's so important about the 12 chops?

I get to redeem this beautiful dairy for the new year 2011 from Starbucks. Last year, I got one from it too. They are like collection for me now. More free merchandise promotion please. Be it tumbler, umbrella, shopping bag, calculator, alarm clock, CD, flash drive etc.

I will be glad to participate if there is any other promotion from Starbucks that promotes free merchandise. As it always give away nice and quality stuffs that make great collection.

Nice Soup and Delicious Starter Platter

Last weekend, we went to Aqua again. And, this is what we ordered this time.

Yum Yum French Onion soup. The cheese toast was fantastic. And, the soup was rich in taste. Something unforgettable.

3 pieces of nicely flavoured toasts with a few pieces of yummy cheese and different types of hams or bacons, and some nicely pickled olives, they made delicious starter. This platter did brighten up my day.
The sauce for this fried pork is good, the pickles were nice too and I always like the potato wedges, but lean meat just isn't our cup of tea. LOL!
Something special about this fish dish. A piece of salty grilled fish was served with mint sauce, adding some sour pickles as its side dish and below the fish was something like crunchy bread crumbs bits instead of rice.

DQ and my little princess like the crumbs. But overall, the taste is not very impressive. I miss the salmon steak that I took for lunch during Christmas day. Unfortunately, it is no longer in the menu. :(

My name is Khan. And, I am not a terrorist. It told us boldly that don't blame the innocents. And, hatred will only bring more killings or chaos. But, love will definitely bring hope and peace.

This story is about an Islam Autistic child Rizwan who was talented is repairing machines but grow up to be a herbal product salesman. Then, he fall in love with a divorced Hindu hair stylist called Mandira. They got married and living happily with their only child Sameer. As he was taught by his mother since young that be it Hindu or Islam, there is only 2 different type of people -- The good man and the bad man. That's it.

Things changed. Islam people in US was badly affected after the 11 September prejudice. And, they lost Sameer because of a racialism fight happened in school. So, Rizwan go all the way following the President schedule, wanted to meet him personally to tell him that "My name is Khan. But, I am not a terrorist."

Not my favourite type of Hindi movie cause no songs and dances. But, it's a good story. Thus, it's famous. I bought the VCD and watched it last night using my TV. But, you can find it in youtube and watch it with any laptops notebooks for free by now cause it's already an old movie. Hehe.........

Our New Year Eve's Dinner

We had our New Year Eve dinner at Kaffa Restaurant in Straights Quay. That's our first time. Overall, the food just taste alright. :)

This is the starter. It's good. The only thing in the set that truly satisfied my taste bud. *wink*

Squash or pumpkin soup will never in my order list if it's Ala Cart. But, the taste of this Squash soup is still acceptable.

My mum ordered lamb shank. The taste is acceptable. But, it will not go into my order list if there is a second visit. :)

We had our dinner at Kaffa Restaurant in Straights Quay. It's our first time. The food is alright.

This is my roast chicken. It tasted way better than the lamb shank. See... If you are not sure about the standard of the food in a restaurant, roast chicken will always be the safest order to make. Still, this roast chicken is a bit too salty for me. :)

I don't like carrot cake either. But this carrot cake got lots of walnuts in it. I just like the nuts. Ha!

Anyway, the service in this restaurant is unacceptable. The main course actually being served before the soup. Yet, the soup just filled up less than half quarter of the soup bowl. The desserts came before we finish our main course. Thus, our table was fully filled. And, the wine tasted terrible!

Luckily, I ordered the lemon grass tea. Well, this is one of the best lemon grass tea I have ever tasted.

Amazing fireworks for our 2011 New Year

We spent quite an amount for our New Year Eve's dinner last night at Straights Quay. Not really satisfied with the price paid and the stuffs given. Especially we had to sit outside near the stairs way.

So sad that we had no chance to enjoy the nice table settings or the savoy house lighting inside the restaurant. But eventually, we were glad that we were there as this showed up.

The video is never as nice as the up close view of these amazing fireworks. By just standing right in at the sea front and look at these extra dazzling fireworks burst right on top of our head.

These fireworks were so beautiful especially those designs to drop vertically down like the shooting stars. And, it seems there a few sets being set off all together at one time. Moreover, the whole firework session last at least more than 30 minutes. It's like a dream or a fairy tale. It's absolutely an amazing new beginning there.

I told myself, 2011 will be a great year when this wonderful celebration ends.

Happy New Year! And, thanks the organizer of the fireworks at Straights Quay last night.

I love "3 Idiots" and I love 2011

Do you like Hindi movies? If you are a Hindi movies fan like me, I am sure you will like this "3 idiots".

It's a comedy with lots of scenes to laugh with. But, you still need to spare some tissues beside you. The story is truly inspiring. And, the look of Amir Khan is very attractive too. Hahahahaha.........

I also admire the moral value behind it which actually reminds us of the educational pressure that students are facing all around the world now. It's kind of a critic to the current education approach too.

A must watch! :P

I am going out for New Year Eve's celebration now. Somehow, it's raining heavily. Happy New Year to all my friends here. Happy 2011! Hope it's a wonderful beginning for all of us! *Wink*

Unforgettable Christmas Lunch at "Aqua"

They are all from a fine dinning western restaurant in Straights Quay called "Aqua". And, this is our Christmas lunch. At first, we were so doubtful about the taste as we are the only guest in the restaurant. But, my friend told me he tried the pork leg there before. It's very nice.

So we tried one set first. First, the Spanish Sangria was being served. It taste so much better than the "Ribena" that we took in Spain when we travelled there last year. This is more like a very smooth wine. Then, we found out It was the chef self made recipe.

And, Uh! Lah! Lah! The taste of the meal is absolutely impressive. They are so yummy. Thus, we ordered another set. The salmon was so soft and smooth. The tomato salad look so simple. It has very light taste. But, the taste is great. And, I like the triffle so much! It has rich milky taste with raspberries yogurt, almond pudding and cake base like tiramisu. What a brilliant chef from England! :)

On the other hand, hubby likes this dessert on top. But, I have yet to take note of its name. I think it's the Turkish origin desert called Baklava. It's sweet and nutty. And, the yoghurt dip had certainly enhanced its taste.

Somehow, this is not our cup of tea. It's chicken liver. In fact, it tasted alright. Especially when I took it with little bit of cheese and the chutney on the plate. But, I simply don't like chicken liver. :P

All of all, the food in "Aqua" certainly has high international standard. What should I say more. Unique and fantastic! 2 thumbs up! What an unforgettable Christmas lunch! *wink*

I will save these pictures in my ordis. May be even as desktop wallpapers as they will remind me of their great taste before I get to stepped into "Aquas" again for other delicious dishes. Gosh! How come a French word came out from my mouth? May be because a French dessert is in my mind now. It's Creme Brulee. Hopefully the chef has his own secret recipe for it too. LOL!

I will surely be back to try more of its food even though it's quite pricey. :)

TVB Hottest Drama Series -- No Regrets

A show about Opium and World War II at China. It's the hottest TVB drama series for year 2010. Very good show. Lots of heart warming and heart broken moments.

Sheren Tang is from the triad family. Like the previous Rosy Business, she is so stylish. Ha! Whereas, Wayne Lai is just a head in the Guang Zhou police department who values friendship and brotherhood more than anything else. And, they help each other during hard times.

Well, I learn a lot about the hard time in China when it was full of Opium smokers and Japanese soldiers that actually being so cruel to them from this show. How sad! Luckily, selling Opium is forbidden now. And the war is over.

I took my girl to the Barbie show at Queensbay Mall yesterday. Somehow, she fell asleep 5 minutes before the show starts. LOL!

Then, we were eating cakes at Straights Quay together with DQ during Christmas Eve countdown. In fact, we plan to have a nice late dinner. But, every restaurants was full. :(

Today, we still got a chance to enjoy a wonderful Christmas day. Hopefully, my girl can wake up soon. So that I can bring her to the Flamingo hotel to enjoy "the snow" before 3 pm. May be at this special day, I should bring her to back to Queensbay Mall to catch up with the part of the Barbie show that she missed yesterday.

We can also go back to Straights Quay tonight by 6.30 or 9pm to enjoy the candy show again before it ends.

This is the candy show that I am talking about. It's what I recorded during the first time we went for the show. It's a short drama full of Christmas songs and dances. Well, cigars info might not be appropriate to children. But, they simple loves all these candy characters so much!

Happy Winter Solstice

Today is a big day among Chinese community. Last night, we were busy making glutinous rice ball which we call it "Tang Yuan". Now, they are cooked in sweet "pandan" soup.

Nice aye? These are the basic traditional colour. The green one are "pandan" flavour. Nowadays, people even made orange and chocolate flavour. :P

Anyway, most Chinese just eat them like this. For our family, we got a special tradition. We will always prepare the peanuts and molasses mix like this.

Next, we are going to dip the glutinous rice ball into it before we put them in our mouth. Mmm...... That's a wonderful taste! It taste much better than "Mua Chi". *Wink*

Since a child, I ate the glutinous rice ball this way. And, I can never eat the "Tang Yuan" without the peanut and molasses paste. As without the paste, they just never taste right to me. LOL!

Happy Winter Solstice! In fact, this reunion tradition is like a new year celebration to us too. My granny always said, we are all one year elder once we ate the "Tang Yuan".

Christmas and new year are just around the corner. I plan to book a place and have a nice New Year eve dinner at Straights Quay. That's where I can enjoy the fireworks and celebrate the new beginning at a totally new place by the sea at my home Island. *Wink*

I seems so excited!Feel truly optimistic about the coming year. This feeling would be something more than just the normal high. May be I am just being naive. But, I wanted so much to hold on to this feeling forever. Unbelievable! Somehow, it's so real!

It's just like I can hardly imagine what is it all about when I have friend told me that meditation can feels as great as having sex. How about that? In my opinion, It sounds as ridiculous as those who took extenze actually read the side effects of extenze before they took it. Hahahahahahahaha.........

Anyway, I am glad that I feel good at this moment. Something great might be happening? Let's pray for it! :P

Beautiful Morning

I love school holiday so much. As I don't have to wake up at 7.30 am to send my girl to school. I love feeling fresh and stretching with great energy while getting up from my memory foam mattress after a full 8 to 10 hours sleep. Wow! The bed seems so comfy. What a beautiful world! Hahahahahaha......

Best still if I am having a plate of yum yum fresh garden salad like this as breakfast. As a matter of fact, I just took a piece of bread with butter.

It's the six cereal from Rain Forest. Taste great too! But I simply miss this garden salad from Yaw's Roast and Grill so much, even though I just took it on Tuesday night.

By the way, bon voyage to my brother. I am sending him to the airport this evening around 5pm. He is flying to KL for a 2 weeks holiday. While I am going to have Kenny Roger's Roast Chicken at the airport later as dinner. Happy! :P

Why it get so muddy now?

I saw this when I was at Gurney Drive just now. Gosh! What happen to the beautiful water? I always like to park my car at the seaside and have a look at the beautiful sky and water before I walk in to shop at Gurney Plaza. But before this, it was not so muddy like this. :(

How to get rid of the mud? I wish I know. LOL! Luckily it's just part of it which near to the roundabout. I hope our government will do something about it. So that we can walk or jog along this long path and enjoy the nice scenery, cosy sea breeze and clean water like we always did for the past few decades.

I am glad that public toilets in Penang are getting cleaner now. I hope the cleanliness of the sea will be well taken care of too.

Can't buy me Love

I just finished the whole 32 episodes. Very funny show! It's all about family relationship and love. Moses is always my favourite comedy star. He is always funny! Kind of useless in the beginning. But, became a real hero later on.

Anyway, Linda Chung is very cute in this show. All the traditional wears for ladies are stunning too. Overall, it's a show that will keep us laughing and stay happy for the rest of the day.

Must watch! Bear in mind that happiness is more than just emotional gain. It could chase away all sickness and work as well as the best acne cream. Makes your face smooth and glowing all time.

Yum Yum Mango Dessert

I miss this so much! This mango ice crush dessert taste so yummy! The ice was smooth. There are quite a lot of fresh ripe mango cubes. And, I like the seeds which looks like "sago". It's so crunchy. The mango purée or syrup is rich in taste too. Mmm........

But, the price is a bit high. It's RM5.50 each. By the way, I got it from the stall in Straits Quay last Sunday. But, that was the last day for the stall to be there. The actual shop is actually so far away at the 3rd floor of Queenbay Mall. :(

There are so many other flavours like kiwi, mix fruits, strawberry and honeydew that I haven't try yet. But, I get to taste the banana flavour like this one.

But, I still prefer the mango ice. It's the best of the best! Hehe......

Knight and Day

Yesterday, I had a wonderful movie treat. Truly funny! But not silly at all. What should I say? I guess if you like pink Panther, you will surely like this.

In fact, this "Knight and day" might be slightly better because there are handsome super star and sexy super model casting in it. Ha!

Look at Cameron Diaz figure while she was in bikini. Well, I got that totally flat and layered free tummy too. Now? Still good if empty stomach. Ha! But, my thigh, my arms... Gosh! Where can I find slimming wrap immediately? Hahahahahaha.......

Good show! I like it. DQ think it is something out of the box too.

Candyland at Straits Quay

We finally visited Candyland at Straits Quay. There are some fun activities that kids can participate. Especially the craft making session. It's only RM 8 per session. Cheap, fun and educational. Somehow, the decoration should be improved. Overall, it's a bit disappointing. LOL!

By the way, Straits Quay will be a nice shopping square in the future I guess. It's a nice European Style square. I quite like the concept as we can actually have a walk by the sea, enjoy the sea breeze right behind the mall besides shopping or dinning.

Somehow, the shop lots are not fully occupied yet. And, the seaside part is still under construction. Some new restaurants is already in and a few branded fashion boutiques. There is a shop selling scrapbook making materials too.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Penang really has more and more recreation activities since this year, especially during this year end holiday. I am planning to visit the Popular Mega Book Fair today. Yesterday was the first day and it's going to end on the 7th of December if I am not mistaken.

Plan B -- Straits Quay Christmas Candyland. I supposed nice Candyland was build since yesterday at Straits Quay. There is even interesting musical performance named Allison in Candyland will be presented every night from 18th December onwards.

Also, famous DJ will be invited, including dance, musical performance and grand fireworks all at straits quay to celebrate this year's count down. Sounds really interesting! *Wink*

I am sure all of us are going to enjoy this long holiday with all these extra local fun. Hehe......

Christmas is around the corner. We just started decorating our Christmas tree, putting the big socks and the Christmas wreath up. Well, I am racking my brain on what to be hid inside this giant sock if I want it to be the greatest surprise to my girl.

How about a nice digital frame? That's something new to her. It might made a great gift since she loves to see photographs so much. What about both DQ and little princess birthday celebration before Christmas? Oh... I wish I already had a plan in mind. :(

Well, I choose to complete the Christmas decoration first. And, I told myself... Don't worry! Be happy! Everything will turn out great. :)

Well, the story is about an "agaashi" fall in love with her "jeap sang"(butler). You may call it romantic or ridiculous? But it's never impossible. As anything is possible in this amazing world. Especially love is blind in most cases. Ha!

By the way, it has 3 different English title. It's called "My fair Lady" or "Lady Castle", also "Take Care of the Young Lady".

Beware of Aging Neck

Today is supposed to be just another great day. Somehow, a pimple pop up again on my cheek since yesterday. I hate menstrual period! *shout*

My acne problem had never fully solved. As a few of them will always come out and say hi to me again during menstrual period without missed since the last 15 years until now. :(

Somehow, I am happy that my neck is looking so much smoother and brighter now. Ha! I started to apply neck care product since a month ago. And, they work wonders. Before that? I only apply skin care on my face. Then, I realized my neck always look so much darker and duller if compared with my face.

See... As our age increase, our neck is one of major part that can clearly reveals our age if intensive care is not given to it. LOL!

Anyway, not every wrinkle product is suitable for the neck skin which is always more sensitive compared to other part of our body. Luckily, there are thousands of skin care product reviews available online now. Hehe......

Super Smooth Ice Kacang

These days the weather is a bit cold when it's raining heavily. Somehow, most of the residents or the tourists in Penang will surely love this.

It's freezing before it melt in the mouth. But it's so yummy! If you are one of this "cendol" or "ice kacang" fans like me, you should never miss these 2 which made from the Stall No. 22 in Batu Lancang food court which operates around 11 am to 6pm. This food court is quite famous and it's right beside the Batu Lancang evening market.

So, what's so special about this ice kacang compared to others? The ice is super duper smooth. Great skill on handling the ice crusher. Ha! Also, the peanut butter ice cream is kind of special and taste great! :P

I miss "Ipoh Hor Fun"

Yesterday night I thought of going to Yaw's Roast and Grill again for it's yum yum Roast Chicken. Unfortunately it was heavy rained out there. Eventually, I just took fried rice at home.

Now, I am thinking of this.

This prawn soup "Kuay Teow" is called "Ipoh Hor Fun" cause it's originated from Ipoh. But, I get to order it at Old Town Kopitiam in Penang now. How nice! It has lighter taste if compared to "Penang Hokkien Mee". But, It's yummy! :P

However, look at the oil floating on the surface. It might seems oily to some of you. Hehe......

Sometimes, we just have to watch our diet. Beware of the fat burners side effects. Also, fat burners might not work well if we still keep taking a lot of those fattening or oily stuffs. :)

Inception

It's something out of the box. DQ said it's better than Shuttle Island. This time we have got different opinion. I like Shuttle Island more than this. Undeniably, "Inception" is a good movie. :P

So, what's all about? It's about dream. But not day dreams or the normal night dreaming. It's a planned dream used to dig informations from one's subconscious. So, Leonardo Dicaprio is the chief of the whole team doing this "spy" work.

They build layers of dreams to get their purpose achieved. The rule is... You can't die in a dream or you will never come back to reality. Scary aye? The movie has action in it too. Overall, it's very challenging after half of the show.

It's the tickets to the Sri Pelita's students stage performance -- Wizard of Oz.

Time flies. Tomorrow is Saturday again. Plan A -- Going to my PIL's house. Plan B -- Attending this drama later at night. Obviously, it's going to be another fun Saturday for my little princess. And, that's good enough for DQ and me. :P

And, the organizer of this event actually encouraging us to buy some extra tickets for the unfortunate kids to attend this show. Alright! I bought a few. Thinking how excited my girl are about this show, may be I can at least help a few kids to get their wish come true. :)

Looking at the natural disasters or accidents happened all around the world recently. People lost their homes, lost their families, lost parts of their body or even their lives. It's really sad. Luckily many is doing their part like offerring medicare supplement plans, giving them place to stay, clothes to wear and food to eat. Thanks God!

I quickly snapped a picture of it once I saw it a week ago at Gurney Plaza. Look at this beautiful "Kolam". It's so colourful. And, Kolam is always meaningful too.

I love peacocks. Peacocks are so beautiful and auspicious especially when they made in pairs. And, the peacocks in this "Kolam" remind me of worldly beauty. :P

Anyway, I will be fascinated if someone is going to teach me how to make this "Kolam". It's one of the great tradition and beautiful creation in Deepavali.

Most importantly, Happy Deepavali!!! And, wish all my Indian friends are delighted in this coming year. *Wink*

Growing through Life

Another great drama series from TVB. Stunning family show! Somehow the ending is still quite disappointing to me. :(

Anyway, the story is something new. As the story begins with Damien Lau was a bad uncle to Raymond Lam. Slowly, the story reveals that Damien Lau hates her dead brother and sister in law which is Raymond's parents so much as Raymond's father had betrayed him by lying about him then married Raymond's mother who was once Damien's partner.

And, the story became even more interesting when Damien's found out that Raymond is actually his son. Complicated aye? But I like it! Ha!

Being rich means owning big house, elegant cars, big companies, branded goods, winning golf trophies, horse riding or luxury travels. That's wonderful! Somehow, life can never be perfect in reality. Most of the time, being rich includes complicated family life too. :)

By the way, I love all the houses design. So grand! May be they are actually hotel and hotel rooms. Hehe......

Shutter Island

I hope you have enjoyed your Halloween night. I watched it a few days before Halloween. But, I think it is actually a great treat for Halloween night. :P

Why is that so? Cause it's 10% scary and 90% psychotic. It's a great mystery that you might still scratching your head after half of the show. And then, you might get even more confuse at the third quarter of the show and are dying to know what's going on actually. Hahahahaha......

So, the story is about crazy people. And trust me, it somehow making those watching it crazy too. Ha! Anyway, this movie is so good as this show is using the right main actor. Leonardo Dicaprio is definitely the few in the movie industry that expert in psychotic character. LOL!

Ladies and gentlemen, Air Supply is coming to Penang! I saw the banners about Air Supply 35th Anniversary Concert everywhere. It seems to be the first time they are coming to Penang.

For your information, the price is RM 303 for VIP, RM 203 for PS1, RM 153 for PS2, RM 103 for PS3. DQ and me love a few of their songs so much. Somehow, we still don't consider ourselves their fans. Ha!

Anyway, they have voices that can hardly forget. And, they were so hot once upon a time. So I believe many of our mums and dads love them so much. Thus, this could be one of the unforgettable christmas gift ideas for mom and dad in Penang epsecially for this year. :P

Cute aye? They are truly eye catching as most people walking around the night market last night will surely has a glance on these funny "Chocolate Banana" and colourful "Chocolate Rice Ball" when they passed by.

My little princess was attracted to it too. So we bought one to try. She was happily showing the chocolate banana that full of colourful sprinkles to my auntie once she reached home. She ate it immediately too.

Somehow, she stopped eating after she finished half the banana. Strange! Chocolates and bananas were never enough for her. How come? So mummy tried some.

Mummy:"Liz, how is the chocolate banana? Good?"

Liz:"Not really."

She is right. No doubt it's cute and lovely. But, the chocolate just taste like sugar. No rich chocolate taste at all. :(

We are going to celebrate Halloween first

Did you plan for a happening Halloween night already? Frankly, non of us in the family ever suggested any Halloween celebration for the past... 5 years at least.

But, my girl just keep reminding me this year. As her school is going to celebrate Halloween party on the 30th together with the parents in Berjaya Hotel this year. It's also the little ones concert day. And, this morning my little girl just gone for her concert rehearsal at Berjaya Hotel. *Grin*

So finally this year, we are going to celebrate Halloween first before we took out our Christmas tree and hang up our christmas wreath. Well in contrast with Halloween, Christmas is always a big thing in our house even though we are not Christian. Ha!

Yummy Roast Chicken

Yaw's Roast and Grill has moved to transfer road last year for months. But, they have moved back to their house at Gerbang Midlands behind One stop shopping mall now. So, we went there for the 2nd time last night since he moved back.

My girl loves this place. As it has a cozy garden. And, she simply enjoy eating at this dim garden with lots of greens, fade birds and a nice water feature. It's kind of quite too. :)

Garden Salad. One of my favourite dish at Yaw. As I am always drooling for the pickled sliced cabbage and carrots in it. Also, the salad sauce here is unique and good.

Nice Garlic Bread. Taste rich and crunchy.

Chicken Maryland contains a big piece of fried chicken, a fried banana and a big piece of ham.

Roast Chicken with lots of cooked potatoes, carrots and mushrooms. Sweet and fragrance. The sweet and sour pickled coleslaw is kind of a special treat. Yummy!

So, this is what we had last night. My girl loves the roast chicken so much. I think it's good too. Strongly recommend the garden salad and roast chicken.

I know that dark eye circle is cause by inadequate sleep. I also understand that we might inherit the dark eye circle from our family genes. Somehow, I never expect that gluten intolerance can cause dark circle under eyes too. This is something new to me.

Nasal congestion is another cause of dark eye circle too. And, if your dark eye circle and puffiness are constant, you may have an undetected food or chemical allergy.

I think these are great knowledge if you want to get rid of your dark eye circle like me. As knowing the cause is always important. So that we know how to remove dark circles under eyes from the root of the problem.

Eczema causes and remedies

My girl has a friend who suffers chronic eczema problem since she was born. Initially, it was like an everyday thing. Somehow, as she grows older, it becomes like a seasonal thing now. Of course, her skin is still dry and flaky most of the time. But now, mostly she is only scratching when the weather changes. And less part of the skin appeared red and injured.

According to her mother and what I have observed, eczema is actually a genetically immunodisorder. It is an allergic reaction to food and highly sensitive to environmental changes. Poor girl! According to her allergic test, she actually allergic to many types of food. It's like we can hardly find something that she can eat. Gosh!

So, the doctor encourages her to take everything hoping she will grow out of it soon. On the other hand, her mother did not just concentrate on applying creams for her. Instead, she is taking coconut oil, colostrum, probiotics and so on to strengthen her immune system.

Hope this info is useful for those who are still looking for effective eczema treatment.

LOVE IN DISGUISE

I was looking forward to watch it since I knew this movie was coming out few months back. Finally, I get to watch it.

The first impression was this movie is more like the style of those love story movies that always come up during CNY. I don't know why. But it just came into my mind.

Then, It's funny. But this over exaggerated style can hardly make me laugh most of the time. Somehow, the whole soundtrack in this movie was amazing. This movie has fully exhibits Lee Hom's talent in music. The song and his voice is exceptionally touching too.

Just that the love connection part was like running too fast at first. But when he was singing "你不知道的事" at the end, it sought of like manage to lead me to recall how sad Song Xiao Qing was when she destroyed her instrument. And, how sad it is for Du Ming Han to leave all the love matters untold.

The lyrics and the music was a wonderful blend to the story. That's a breakthrough to me. As it's a very successful musical way. 100% touching! Since then, I just keep thinking about this song. I like Lee Hom's way of acting too. Nothing extra in the facial expression or body language. It's just like what will happen is our real life.

We must care for our health too

Again, I feel like eating "Laksa", especially "Aneh Laksa". But, I don't think I will drive all the way to just buy a pack of "Laksa" for myself, especially when it's going to rain now. Hehe......

So, what's the best to do while raining? Sleep? Really! That's always the first thing came to my thought when it's going to rain. Hahahahahaha.......

Anyway, rainy days are cool and relaxing. So, it's a great moment to spent long hours on the computer too. I was surfing the whole morning. Enjoy reading some health or beauty info like I always did.

What is face reading?

Do you believe it face reading? That's another way of fortune telling. It's a Chinese technique. I have found many information regarding face reading through Chinese websites.

Basically, the face reading starts with the ears. The left ear tells your fate from birth until the age of seven, while the right ear corresponds to the ages of age 8 to 14. The forehead determines your fate from age 15 to 30 when our life is still dependent on heaven than on our own efforts. Then, from the eyebrows to the nose dictates our destiny from 31 to 50. That's when we need our own efforts to succeed in life. Whereas the bottom of the nose to the chin concerns your fate after the age of 50. And, each region should be balance to gain a balance life.

Besides, large and thick earlobes are a sign of intelligence, and are often associated with wealth and a long life. Next, a broad and high forehead is highly desirable. Long, thick eyebrows are considered good, and the wider the space between the eyebrows, the better.

Also, large eyes are generally more favourable. The eyes reveal your intelligence and your attractiveness to other people. Dream of Colours

Have you ever watch "Dream of Colours" from TVB? I just finished watching it for the 3rd time. It came out since 2004. This is the one and only one drama series that I feel like repeating after every 1 or 2 years. It's about fashion, about dream come true, true friendship and wonderful family love. Highly inspiring, cheerful and happy ending!

No doubt it's because of Myolie Wu too. Somehow, her "Si Fu" -- Nick (Sze Kwan Ho) in this drama is my favourite! I like his style in this drama so much. So man! And, I can hardly find him acting in other movies. LOL!

Look at this. What a great offer! My brother said one of the burger only cost RM 1 each for certain day in a week. But, it's always long queue of course. :P

I like Burger King. Especially it's Chicken Royale with Cheese Burger and it's the fries. Thus, It's always Burger King while I was in KLIA. Yeah... Too bad that I can only eat it when I am in KL. And, it's been a year I never been to KL. I miss you, Burger King.

I think you must have miss me too, right? Thus, you are now in Penang now. What a great news! And, You are most welcome. Hahahahaha.........

Mmm... Yum! Yum! So, Let's go! But wait a minute, I should invite DQ first. Hehe......

More than 10 Ferrari

By the way, these pictures were took last Saturday. As there was a Ferrari motor show right in front of Gurney Plaza last Saturday. There are more than 10 different models of Ferrari cars being exhibited. It's crowded and everybody was busy shooting of course. :)

Penang is getting better now. As there seems to be more and more events going on every weekend. By the way, want to know why my girl like Ferrari so much?

Something good about buying Insurance

It's been some time I never discuss things about money management here. Recently, USD exchange rate seems went down like what being estimated by financial analysts since last year. Suddenly, I feel that I need magazines like "Personal Money" to tell me why. Hehe......

Somehow, invest in Forex is never my choice. I am just a SAHM who always emphasize at protection or low risk investment. Something safe. LOL! I don't know about you. But I quite like saving in insurance for any long term financial goal such as future educational fees for my kid or saving for my retirement need. As I believe that saving in the bank is always easily use up. Ha!

And, I feel safe to have another policy of term insurance mortgage life insurance. Just in case anything happen to the parents or loan carrier, this policy will automatically help the beneficiary to pay off the loan amount even the beneficiary has no income to do so. Best still if it's a higher amount that can even sustain their everyday living besides securing the house. :P

Another show something like "Full house". Story about a lady staying together with a super star and fall in love with each other eventually. She is staying with him to take care of his daughter which his x girl friend leave her to him out of a sudden.

But this time is more complicated. As the lady is elder than the guy. Also, she is a divorcee. I hate her x husband so much. A very terrible guy. LOL!

It's time for Registration

Time flies. There came the time that my little princess needs to register for the primary school she wants to attend by 2013. And, she always pointed at Ping Hwa primary and secondary and said she wants to study in this "Jie Jie" school later when she is 7 years old.

So be it! But mummy had went to Han Bin to have a look too before I decided. As some of the parents said children will have more time of themselves if they study in Han Bin, a fully morning school.

Anyway, mummy went to both school to make enquiry about registration on Friday. Both schools were so friendly. I haven't got a chance to meet the principle in Han Bin. As he or she was busy with their Children's day on that day.

But the clerk and one of the chairman of the school were there. They were great! And, I get to meet Ping Hwa principle. She was a nice lady too. I guess Friday is just the lucky day. *wink*

Some of the parents seems to confuse me that the school system in Ping Hwa is very strict and pressured. But by talking to the principle, I think this statement might not be true. It's just like the rumours about apidexin scam. I guess we can only know it if we are in it. :)

This will be the last time

I went to the Korean BBQ Chicken in New World Park again just now at lunch hour. It used to have one outlet at Gurney place. And the BBQ Charbroiled Chicken set used to be so yummy! The coleslaws taste extraordinary.

But, the same Charbroiled Chicken in this outlet taste not as good. Worst still when the fries looks so much darker and harder. I decided to leave it aside after my fist bite of the fries. Just the coleslaw is still attractive. Why? No quality control at all now. LOL!

Looks like this will the last time I will be there. By the way, I miss "Aneh Laksa" now. That's something never cause any disappointment. I want to be there tomorrow. Anyone want to come with me? Hehe......

The Legend of Chen Zhen

Watched it with DQ last weekend at GSC Premier class. It's a great night as this is a wonderful show. Also, I always enjoy pampering myself in Premier class. :P

Another legendary Kung Fu movie performed by Donnie Yen. I think it's the best of Donnie Yen's movie besed on the Kung Fu setting. All the movements were so fast, very challenging, sharp and exciting! This proved that Donnie Yen is not just a star, but a great martial art planner too. Hehe......

2 thumbs up! And, it's great to see Shu Qi again. It's been sometime I never seen her appearing on the screen. Yet, she is always so young, free of lines and so... sexy. I think I will surely give it a try if she is making any botox or wrinkle cream review. LOL!

Hua Yang Nan Zi

After so many Taiwanese Drama series, I have watched 2 good Korean Drama series recently. One of it is......

It's another version of Meteor Garden. This time they name it "Hua Yang Nan Zi". So nice to see F4 again. Ha! The Story is almost the same. But, the house, the overall environment, the living style and attire seems to be more posh. That's something more attractive than Meteor Garden.

But in my opinion, Kalli and yicheung is the best match in Hua Yang Nan Zi instead of the 2 main character. I think still like Tao Ming Si and San Cai more. They are simply more click. LOL!

That's the image of Angelina Jolie in the movie called "Salt". Salt is her name -- Evelyn Salt is the CIA agent in America. But, she has another identity called Chenkov. Chenkov is a Russian spy that being sent to America since the age of 12.

A movie that full of quest and action. A movie that keep me excited till the end. :P

And Wow, Angelina Jolie is so slim in this movie. She must be working hard to get such a quick weight loss. But, worth it. She looks smarter, tougher, more elegant and much more beautiful now. and, I think the brown color hair makes her look younger. :P

Golden Pig Moon Cake

Cute aye? Came across them at the shop selling "Tambun Piah" opposite Chew Tian Yang while DQ is busy buying fish and water plants there.

Next week will be lantern festival already. I always buy moon cakes for my PIL following the Chinese tradition. And, I always looking for something unique rather than the same old tradition mooncake. Hehe......

Anyway, I only manage to give my PIL one of these golden pig moon cake instead of a pair of them. As one of my auntie came from KL yesterday. And, this auntie always bring us a lot of things when she came. So, luckily I have this moon cake at hand. :)

By the way, no comment on the taste as I haven't got chance to taste it. Hahahahahaha......

"Aneh Mee Goreng"

Last night, we went to Raja Uda for our favourite steam boat again. Mmm...... It's always so yummy!

But, It's been a few weeks I never take "Laksa". I miss "Aneh Laksa" so much now. Hopefully, "Aneh" is not a Mamak. As if he is, the stall will be close as he will be celebrating Hari Raya.

Another good stuff that I just took last week was the famous "Aneh Mee Goreng" at Pulau Tikus.

How about that? Looks great aye? It tastes even better. :P

Somehow, I think it will be close within these few days. I am not sure. But high possibility, the boss is a Mamak.

By the way, Selamat Hari Raya to all Muslim. And, I think I am going to eat like "Buka Puasa" too. In fact, I have bought some Raya kuih from Tesco yesterday. Eat all I can! Hahahahahaha......

I am not worried about gaining a few pounds. But if I did, pull up bar will always be the first thing that came into my mind. As the few pounds will mostly go to my tigh or arm. LOL!

New Jelly Mooncake

This month is all about moon cakes, lanterns and pomelo. It's our Chinese Autumn Festival. And, My mum has already receive nice mooncakes from her friend. Something so beautiful!

How about that? Nice aye? These are no traditional mooncake but an innovative jelly mooncake. Really nice. I guess it makes a great gift if you want to surprise the receiver in this special festival. Everyone in our family just can't wait to have one bit of it. Somehow, I have to admit that it's just something good at sight but not great in taste.

It taste exactly like normal jelly. Thus, I still miss the traditional lotus mooncake. Hehe......

Free New Aquas LCD

Finally, I got a TV in my room. But, the whole room was full of the electric burning smell whenever we operate it. Expected! Thus, it's DQ's idea, not mine. As this is kind of bad for health. Somehow, I just gladly except it since it's FOC. Hehe......

He chose this 40" Aquas LCD instead of Dell laptop as he made redemption from the points collected according to the sales figure during company promotional period.

Well, sharp colours and nice surround with about 6 inputs available. Certainly much more hi tech than the old one in the living room. My girl was fascinated about it!

She likes to switch off all the lights in the room and make it like a cinema. Sometimes, she will also pretend to collect the theater tickets from us before the movie starts. Cute aye?Hahahahahahahaha.........

It's Icing, not Tiramisu

Sunday morning......

It's a great morning. Once I woke up, I have my brother and his gf waiting for me to start making the tiramisu.

That's a pack of tiramisu cake mix. The seller told me that it's a cream base. So, I thought I just don't have to add the cake. As it might came out like what I have took in Coffee Bean. Mmm... Yum! Yum!

The instruction is just add in 700 ml of water to the premix. And, blend it with the mixer for 5 minutes. Then, chilled it. But, the seller said it would taste better if I replace the water with coffee milk. So I actually make my own coffee milk. I add in 300 ml of 3 in 1 coffee and 400 ml of milk. We were laughing and talking happily while working on it.

And, this is the end result.

Looks good. But it's too rich. Something like I am taking the icing on the cake. My girl still prefer her favourite fresh cream. She is right. Even fresh cream taste so much better. Obviously, it is nothing like this tiramisu that I have imagine. :(

No more premix. I am going to make it myself from scratch. And, I will never let myself fail again next time. *Brrrr.......*

New look for the aquarium

This is the new look for DQ's aquarium. Obviously he is font of keeping plants in the aquarium now. And, the aquarium certainly looks more lively with this much of plants in it. This is like a mini jungle, nice aye? :P

Somehow, all the nice big fish were given away. As they will bite the plants, so there are only small or peaceful medium fish in the aquarium now. :(

By the way, I think DQ is quite talented in aquatic design. Very impressive to me. Kind of professional, aye? Ha! But, not for me. I don't like aquatic design. I can't put my hands in the smelly fish water. I just like home decoration. That's my interest. Once I see something new in the house, I just can't stop thinking about new decoration in the house again.

The major renovation is always in my mind too. I will picture a lovely kids room for my girl. Marble toilet, glass mosaic tile for the kitchen wall, new wall papers for the living area, walk in closet etc. And I told myself, one day... For sure my wish will come true. Hahahahaha......

So, I want to visit the Home Deco Fair at PISA today. It's good to explore even if I come home empty handed. As all nice furnitures seem to be great scene to me. Hehe......

Lousy Aquarium

Actually, there is an aquarium park in Penang. Many people told me there's nothing. And, this is what it is as we visited it last Sunday.

What should I call this? Fish theatre?

Luckily got this beautiful turtle. :P

Besides, there are about ten dirty 2 feet aquariums like no one is maintaining them left aside in the open space with only some tiny marine fishes. How about that? Really nothing!

I just couldn't believe my eyes. How come they call this aquarium? Such a rag place with many dirty aquariums which are at least 10 times dirtier or uglier than DQ's 4 feet aquarium at home. Yet, there are only less than 10 species of fish. LOL!

Anyway, there are big parts of it under renovation. Surprise us please. Penang is a nice place, and this is definitely not something up to Penang's standard. :(

Yum Yum Fish and Chips

Last night, we had dinner at Chicago Rib House at Gurney Place again. It's so packed. Thus, We only managed to get a table after 30 minutes of waiting.

This is the third time we went there within a month. As we all loves it's Trio Platter, even my girl likes the chicken tender in it so much. DQ and Bill love it's fish and chips too. I am going to try it next time. :P

This time my mum join the group too. And, we ordered almost the same thing as the 2nd visit.

Grilled Blackened Catch. It taste salty and spicy with thick black pepper taste. Something special. And, I love it. But, DQ and mum said the fish and chip is so much better. :)

Great choice! As we all like it. Crispy skin with soft and smooth fish meat in it. Simply yummy! :P

It's BBQ chicken. Very big portion. Something special too. But the taste is quite plain. So, no more BBQ chicken this time. I tried the Pork Rib instead. Well, it tasted good. But nothing special either.

And, the baked potatoes, potatoes skin, mash potatoes and potato chips are all like heavenly made for someone who loves potatoes so much like me. Overall, nice place, good food. May be it does not has those seventies or unique Europe style interior as even the door lock might seems rare too like Friday and Chillis, but it's simplicity is kind of comfortable.

He is just not much of a comedian

I like Huang Xiao Ming so much recently. Because of the "Condor Hero" 2006. It's truly romantic and the scenery were fantastic. Also, he was so good looking and attractive in the latest Taiwanese series called "Summer's Disire". Excellent acting too.

Somehow, as I watched this "over silly" Hong Kong movie -- Flirting Sholar 2, he is just not much of a comedian. "Ah Lek" is still good. But to be very frank, I fell asleep before I finished watching the movie. LOL!

Not so much of the acting I guess, the story is simply non sense. Even though I still have a good laugh at some of the part. Not my cup of tea I guess. :P

Best Steam Boat in Penang

If you like steamboat like me, this is the best place to go in Penang.

Somehow, it's not in Penang Island. It is at Raja Uda, Butterworth at mainland. it's quite far from the island, but still we don't mind to travel so far to enjoy this wonderful steamboat with very unique soup with yam, "bak choi", fried or cooked fish slices by your own choice during weekend. Mmm...... Delicious!

It has set started from RM 68, RM 98 and RM 138. Normally, we will only go for the RM 98 set for about 5 to 6 of us. The fish is great and quite a lot, the prawn is big and fresh, I like the fake abalone slices the most. Others are normal items like pig stomach or mantis shrimps, fish balls, quail eggs, cuttle fish, fried bean curd skin, mushrooms, mee or bee hoon. The chilli is something special too. The soup is extraordinary! We can never stop drinking the soup as it's so sweet and rich is taste. Best of the best! *Wink*

Anyway, the service is not so good. It is always crowded and I hate to wait by the table side of the customers who are going to leave. There is no romantic led xmas lights or beautiful spa like environment too. Somehow, I always miss its taste. The satisfaction after taking it is always worth the journey. :)

Ghost Festival

In Chinese tradition, now is still the so called "Ghost Festival" and this is the god that we will pray to besides the ghost. I heard he is the god that control the ghost. In Penang Island, this festival doesn't seems so big. Somehow, it is a real big occasion for the Chinese stayed in BM, Butterworth.

And, this is the first time I pray here. I am so surprise to see such a great crowd and look at the food they send to pray. I know people like to pray with roasted pig, fruits or "pao". Somehow, I never expect so many big roasted pigs on the table. As each roasted pig easily cost RM 700 or RM 800. Respect them man!

People selling fruits, joystick or other praying tools everywhere. There is also Teow Chew Operah. According to our tradition, this show is for the soul to enjoy it. Somehow, many seniors loves it too.

It's certainly something interesting to see. I am glad my girl get a chance to see more cultural celebration like this. Surprisingly, she loves the Teow Chew Operah so much! :P

We are going to have steamboat dinner together with my PIL's family later. I also plan to buy some Indian Song's CDs for my princess since she loves their dance so much. And, I need to buy another bottle of Aloe Vera juice. Also, I wish I have time to watch a few series of the drama I am chasing. Wow! So many things in mind. LOL!

Thinking back, I was once doubtful that am I right to give up my job, just stay at home and take care of the family. Few years later, I actually think I am bless with it. Staying at home just isn't that bad as I expected earlier. I get paid and do only the things that I really wanted to do (with the help of maid).

I can have a nice DIY spa treatment at home sometimes. I love to read. That's a great way to upgrade myself and enrich my life and thinking. I enjoy having drama series marathon. Ha! Go shopping. Blogging. Meditate. Making breakfast for DQ. Marketing and so much more. Sounds impossible but 24 hours just isn't enough. LOL!

If I get bored with the leisures, I can still join Online Schools to upgrade my education level. There are even online jobs or some other work at home options like I am getting some side income from blogging now. Of course, it should be more profitable in the long run if I can set up a small online business. :)

Best still, we get less pressure in our family relationship and better bonding. As I am more willing to listen to DQ's working pressure as I don't have mine. When mummy don't feel pressured, my girl gets better attention and living in a more loving environment too.

All in all, thanks to DQ's hard work for this pleasure. Wow! Why talking about all this out of a sudden? Well, it just came into my mind. :P

First time at Chicogo Rib House

It's Friday again. I just can't stop thinking about where to enjoy good food together with DQ and my little princess during weekend. That's a great weekly routine that I truly appreciates. :)

I am thinking about this new restaurant at Gurney Place. It's a nice steak house. We enjoyed ourselves afternoon tea there last week.

These Soda's taste alright but not very special to me. And, the orange and mango mix certainly taste better than the red one.

The style is something like Road House Grill. And, we just tried the mix platter of chicken tender, bake potato skins with cheese and bacon, and some friend mushroom. The honey mustard sauce was great! And, I love the wonderful taste of my favourite bake potato skins served in this restaurant. Mmmm......

The fry mushroom is something new and yummy to me. Elizabeth loves the chicken tender so much. LOL! Thus, I just can't wait to try its BBQ chicken, pizzas and fish and chips. As they look great in the Menu pictures. Hehe......

Great environment! Nice food! And, the price is not cheap either. :P

Moon Lovers

I always stick in front of the tv or computer since last month. Blogging less and read less. Just keep watching drama series. From Taiwan, Hong Kong and Korea, now I even watched the Japanese Series. Be it LCD or Plasma or the traditional tv, tv is definitely a great life patner. Hahahahaha......

Gosh! I sounds like making tv reviews. I am not. I just want to share this Japanese drama series with you. It called "Moon Lovers". It's been years I never watch Japanese drama series. But, there is one thing good about Japanese drama series. Normally, it will ends within 6 to 8 episodes. Time saving. Ha!

By the way, this story is quite touching. It's about a lady that stays for years by the side of the guys she loves and do all her best for him, but watching him falls in love with other girls over and over again eventually won his hearts. Sort of he eventually realized that he needs her. As she is the only one who truly understand him, trust him so much and help him a lot whenever he needs help.

Of course, I choose to watch this drama series all because I miss Takuya Kimura. And, curious about the fluency of Lin Chiling's Japanese language. Gosh! She speaks fleunt Japanese! :P

Thai Food Fair at Padang Kota Lama

We went to this "Thai Food Fair" at the Padang Kota Lama there. I told myself, no next time. Not much stalls. Most of the food are sucks. Only the Tom Yam fried rice is good. I rather take those thai food sold in any of the hawker stall. My brother said, I think these are the stalls that can't make it in Thailand. So they just try their luck here which they has less competition. LOL!

Anyway, the Dongkong we bought at the fair was very sweet and fresh. So we thought of buying another 2 kilos. We happily walked back to the stall before we leave the fair. As we reached the stall, we saw the price tag was "3kg -- RM 10". What? I am sure it was RM 5 per kilo 30 minutes ago. Never mind, last minute sales I guess. So we started to choose.

This time, they took out all those not very nice one and place it on the table. But, they sell one whole box very nice and fresh one to a man who speak Thai. *Shock* I told them I want the nice one too. They tried to ignore me. Then I said, I don't mind paying RM 5 per kilo for the nice one. Finally, they said how many kilo do you want? I said 3 kilos. Again, my eye and mouth get wide open when they replied, "No. Sorry."

"So? You mean you will only sell the grade A quality to me if I am buying the whole box (9kg)? How much will it be then? RM 30 for 9kg? Like the price you give it to your Siamese gang?" I just couldn't bothered to open my mouth. No point starting a quarrel, aye? As they are the one who is going to loose the business, not me. If they don't care at all, then why should I? I just walk away.

Frankly, this is my worst experience on a fair. :(

Penang certainly has great Aritist

Living in Penang is kind of fun with lots of good food to eat, some big parks and nice shopping malls to hand around. Also, it's kind cultural rich with lots of festival celebrations.

There is even more of Penang when I hang around at the Little Penang Sunday market. Let's look at this beautiful masterpiece.

Isn't it beautiful? But, my girl like this.

Penang certainly has great artist too. Sooner our life might become more advance as Penang turn to Cyber City. How good if everything can be as convenient as the US. For example, we will get all the insurance rates online for free by just few click like the carinsurancelist.com in the US.

Sister of Pearl

I just finished watching the "Sister of Pearl" from TVB. Total 30 episodes. The story was quite interesting. It's all about rich man's family power and money dispute. In between, there are matters of love. Again, it's so Hong Kong style -- extremely realistic and fully exhibits the human greed and selfishness.

Bowie Lam is the bad guy this time. I hate to see Michael Tao died at the end. Too sad. He should have a happy ending with Jessica Hsuan. Overall, great show but disappointing ending. :(

The Little Penang Street Market 1

Yesterday, I went to The Little Penang Street Market which held on the last Sunday of every month by coincidence. Well, the handicrafts and designs are lovely. There are beautiful hand painting shoes designs.

And, some nice home made handicrafts including necklaces, earrings, clips and smocking dresses for little girls.

I especially favours the lovely home made hair bands and sun shades. The various designs including laces bear, angle wings, princess crow and hello kitty. Elizabeth chose the Hello Kitty sun shades. There are all in light or dark pink. Hopefully there is white next time. :)

Also, look at these attractive packagings.

They are all home made soaps. Nowadays, everywhere in Penang is selling home made soaps, shower gel and moisturiser. I guess later on they will include the full range of home made skin care too including facial scrub, mask, sunscreen lotion and night cream. Worth trying aye? :P

Let's try the Korean Topokki

I went to Northern Beach Cafe again last night. DQ and I always have our dinner there during weekends. And, that's his recent favourite.

The Hong Kong Style "Wan Tan Mee". I like it too. :P

Then, I was fascinating to try the Korean Topokki. It in almost every Korean drama series. It seems to be one of their famous hawker food.

Mmm... Immediately I took up the fork to try it. Er... It's more like pasta cooking with chilli powder. Nothing like what I expect. I tried my best to finish it, but I just can't. It just isn't my cup of tea. LOL!

Getting a new 40" TV

Hubby insisted that it has to be the 40" LCD TV. He have collected enough points from his company latest challenge to make the redemption. And, he chose the TV among the Conon EOS camera and Dell Latitude E6400 laptop.

Why must we have so many TVs at home? (After all, I am using computer to watch my drama series most of the time. LOL!) He said he needs privacy. He prefer to have a TV in the room rather than sharing with the whole family.

Eventually, I agreed. As I understand that having granny to keep nagging on her olden days stories or keep on asking the same question repeatedly while the movie is going on is really irritating. That's why I keep watching drama series through computer. :P

Moreover it's free. I should be happy with it. Now, should I start looking for tv stands for this new TV? I prefer something like a small cupboard so that I can keep other things in it. Hehe......

Yum Yum BBQ Pork

Last night, I have learn my lesson from the bad experience with the durian seller. Today, I miss BBQ pork. So, I went to the familiar "Chicken Rice Stall" to buy the BBQ pork. Look!

How about that? I already took 3 pieces of it. It's so fragrance. The skin is crunchy, the meat is soft and it's still warm. Mmmm...... So yummy! Yet it's only RM 10. The seller is a very nice guy. Things that he sell is cheap and good. Location? It's the cafeteria at the corner of the row of shop lots right in front the Tanjung Bungah market. It's the same row with Ambank.

In fact, most of the customers like his BBQ duck. I guess we are going to eat duck rice this weekend. Hehe......
